400HP
Guys, where can i plumb things through the firewall on the R33? I only know of the hole in the right side near the accelerator pedal but surely there more... d0p3y
I *guess* you could just make the hole bigger where theres power cable. I'm not 100% sure, good person to ask might be FRISKI as he's done heaps of installs on R33s and no doubt done quite a few power wires n stuff thru the firewall.... Guest INASNT
nissanpowers pic is on the $$. theres a grommet just under the abs unit where u can pass wires through. There will be wires going through there already. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/11864-firewall-gromits-in-r33/#findComment-210115 Share on other sites
RadiuM
when installing my stereo in the R32 i was bitching to my dad about having to drill a massive hole in the firewall to put the sub power cable through. looking i found two massive holes about the size of my fists (almost), one each side of the engine bay to place wires through to the cabin. it has some foam in there which you place back once you have put the wires through.. unsure if the R33 is the same, but take a look as there hidden away Shaun Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/11864-firewall-gromits-in-r33/#findComment-210863 Share on other sites
400HP
Did you guys remove the ABS to do it or was it not in the way? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/11864-firewall-gromits-in-r33/#findComment-210968 Share on other sites
nissanpower
i have no ABS but if you can get your hands around it, the cable/hose should be easy to push through the gromet. Talej
Im confused... I can see the existing grommets that go through but to get the hose for my boost guage through do I need to drill somewhere or is there a place I can just stick it through? i am mounting the guage on the pillar... Guest INASNT
just cut a small hole in the grommet and rip it abit to fit the boost hose through! Just make sure it doesent get stuck along the way on anything or u will get false boost readings Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/11864-firewall-gromits-in-r33/#findComment-331483 Share on other sites
