treads international is northside???

yeah way northside, up near redcliffe but it is well worth it, just ring to make sure they will be there because they make deliveries and sometimes arent there all day on a saturday

HI5

PS the muffler isnt a rice cannon that every man and his excell has, it attracts no attention and still flows the same due to the fact that the cross section area is the same as a large tip....if it fitted the R32 I would have swapped in an instant, the R32 one shits me no end

f the flow, its the sound ur after

Tredz international

I got bridgstone tyres in pretty good nick for $80 each

Where as new crap nankangs were going to cost over $1000 these prices are for 18s but

But tredz dont fit so you will have to book someone to fit them too

and not to mention they were 265 wide :O

ok, should get the car back from dan tomorrow night.

i`ll check the tyre size and give'em a call wednesday to see if they`ll be around on saturday and if they got my tyres in stock.

thanks andy

:O

Riciest statment of the day award goes to.......shane!

i was waiting for that...but come on, why would u want to hide that lovely note of an RB? :O

Also, when u have a stuffed clutch, if u have a louder exhaust, u can hear when its going to slip much easily

Shane when do you get your adaptor plate?

supposodly today, i'll be ringing them this arvo to see if it's done. and fingers crossed it fits and i dont have to alter it! (or i'll be pushing to get it done b4 the weekend)

I take it these are imported tyres?

depends if i cant get my mates hoist ill have to do it on the ground again, and then if the box wants to play ball when it goes back in :P.

NISSAN, what car, engine & gearbox is it for? ill make a call

all u need is a new throwout bearing (which should come with the clutch), no need for a pivot, and wtf is a needle roller

its basically for Rb20 engine and gear box from an R32......

cool i'll check when i get the clutch, if i get that bearing.....

They sure are!

BTW I think I want this

A garrett GT30R on a rb25....and that one has no cams

Chances are they are not legal in australia then. There are alot of places doing this but they dont meet our standards, so my advice would be to check them out as it probably would void all insurance.

Nice graph, thats the turbo i was looking at.

the ones I got are bridgestone S03 and 2s standard issue on HSV's  so they comply

There are many specs on GT30s...that one is the .63 housing, anything bigger is too big so make sure you get the right one!

i'm lookin at actually gettin the GT35R turbo for mine.

wantin around 250/260kw's atm but with the bigger turbo, can always get more power later on once i feel the need for more.

A gt30R will be heaps enough for that goal and with higher boost it will do over 300rwkw with much less lag than a GT35R

If you look at the graph the GT30 is making 270 on only 15psi

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn
