i reckon boots & lips look stoopid in carbon...bonnet & mirrors are the way to go :P

All the bonnets have ugly vents, what is with the upwards raising ones :laugh:

Who cares what it looks like the boot lid can save valuable weight

I don’t see why people waste their time on Carbon products, unless its dry carbon.

Then again, most people on here are kids, and want it for looks. Most of the Carbon products aren’t even light with their fibreglass centre layers.

Yeah the fibreglass middle ones are heaps gay

u see the price of a full dry carbon bonnet? 3k thanks for coming. yet most of the cf ones with fibreglass layering are lighter than a stock bonnet. not many people could justify spending an extra 2k on a bonnet for a bit off cooling and weight, unless it was a monster track car then id understand

I’ve seen the prices. Each to there, I guess it depends on what yo use the car for. Dry carbon doors are about $5k each from the States for example.

Those Carbon/fibreglass hoods are lighter compared to crappy Gtst hoods, GTR how ever, I’m not sure, I know some one did a weight comparison a while a go, and there was no difference.

Doesn’t mean all the Carbon/fibreglass products are like that I guess though :P

A push bike? I had a drunk throw a beer bottle, at my GTR bonnet, worst dent ever.

I came back with a hocky stick *look sat NIZ33* Pretty sure you might have been there?

was there, twas humerous, that section in noosa waters got so much ruckus...I just remember that guy coming out with his pitch fork one day when i boost skidded past his house (by accident). Too many tools and stupid youth in noosa!!

I hate my Lexus; I’ve made mention too many times to count about regretting getting rid of my R32. I only bastardized The LS400 as 1) I can, and 2) Don’t care about it.

If I ever needed a decent real performance car to drive, I just took my fathers Porsche :laugh:

That crazy guy got so much ruckus for his stupid behaviour. How much money do you reckon he spent on fixing his ripped lawn all those times? Hahah!! We won’t mention all that expanda foam in his letterbox…

Hahah!! True, true. But I guess it’s a each to their own thing with personal taste. I personally have never seen the point, I guess some people can and have.

      I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
