Im not really hunting for a house as such just if one i like comes up i will buy it, thinking about going out and starting my own business next year so i could use the money for that too, either way is good

I missed the one i wanted because some DICKHEAD paid over asking price for it when we were in negotiations to get it for 50k under asking price we were going to get it too as it had been on the market for about 6 months and the seller wanted it gone, I was literally gob smacked by this idiot then i realised why Australian homes are so over priced, because we have too many uneducated idiots in this country that managed to strike it rich!

So yeah after that i became a bit jaded and stuck to the share market

Hahaha... actually if you did invest on shares 1yr ago, you'll probably be one of those lucky ones that strike rich. Its now when the cash rich people gets richer. If I hadnt bought the house and car and got married, maybe I can be like 1 of them. Its ridicules how much share has recovered since.

My company share was sitting at 0.4c when I bought them but had to sell all at 0.6 because or the property and wedding. Now its 1.7. The other one I was looking at is Centro Group. I think lowest back then was around 0.07c and now its above 0.3c. Gotta start saving up for the next crisis.

My best investments over the last few years have been

Rinker $3.30 to $18.50

NAB $25 to $32 in one day! this was the day when the rumours of the GFC started I bought some extra at $25 then sold the whole bundle at $32 then kept the cash aside and rebought when they hit $20 and let them grow for the rest of the year to what ever they are now, i pretty much go 500 free shares out of that bit of playing around!

and Arrow which has gone from like 50c to $3 somthing

Martin: ??? Is it so hard to understand issue I have is holding boost and not not enough fuel?

Coro drive is shit today for anyone thats going inbound. But the flyover bridge outbound is sweet. That'll make a perfect fly over entry for you Colin. Dont bother with those small speed bump!

Colin: I already know of someone who did in Perth like I've mentioned. These are not track car thats subjected to constant abuse. 20k 30k and 50k is a lot of difference. And you said anyone you know end up spending more money than what the car is worth for that kinda build, what cars are they? Remember this is NUR we're talking about and stock price is 80-90k. You're saying they'll spend 100k on it? And I'm not saying you any 34gtr can do it for that price tag.

I'm not saying you can't do it for under that money but there is more to a car than just power. You could buy all second hand gear and do it for under 10k but it would be a p ig to drive and probably blow up after 2 months. There are countless examples of people spending 100k or more modding a car. Check out the projects forum and have a look at Tangomatts R34. Going back to that black 34. I guarantee you couldn't buy a Nur and then build it to the same quality as that one for under 50k.

my biggest fail however was chosing telstra which hovered around the same money for the 3 years i owned them.....over BHP which was $9 somthing at the time :S

Ugh that is epic.

Its on topic, so I guess I'd better :)

...I need to get into shares

Yeah I'll invest when I've got some decent coin to. If you invest f**k all then your return is going to be f**k all is my theory.

how can i help :):)

you get shared around far too much

    • Have you done the Ignition Sync Wizard in the AEM software?
    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
