Everyone goes too soft in the rear on Skylines for the drags and it is DUMB!

Hands up who wants 1/4 of their rear tyres on the tarmac???

Didn't think so.

My rear suspension is hard as buggery :D

Only if the suspension and camber is setup incorrectly to start off with.

Stock like soft on the rear is good.

Most people agree that a softer rear end assists squat and weight transfer

But the problem with R32/33/34's is excessive camber change on squat.

So to avoid camber change you use hard springs

But that's band aid (covering up the real problem)

Why don't you eliminate the camber change?

Then you can take advantage of the squat, weight transfer.

Forget I told you that, just keep on doing what you are doing, you are already going fast enough.

:) cheers :P

drag Suspension is ment to go down fast but come up slow, HKS Suspension has mastered this

It's not difficult, just select the appropriate bump and rebound valving.

There is no magic.

I have done quite a few cars using Bilsteins, for less than 1/3 what HKS charges

:( cheers :D

you need the rear to squat a little and the front to push up to asist this weight transfer, but after the launch you need the rear suspension to seperate, pushing the tyres down into the track, this is the trick, especially with IRS cars that want to squat and stay squating. Spring rate and shock adjustment is critical and may take a few test and tune days to get working well.
