3 Inch Front Pipe With 2.5 Inch Flanges

Hey just wondering if

a 3 inch front pipe with 2.5 inch flanges is restrictive?

i've noticed with a lot of the jap brands that they have 2.5 inch flanges

do you think it is restrictive compared to 3 inch flanges

you want the flange to meet the pipe size, otherwise there is a restriction without a doubt.

Put a 2.5" gasket in as a test, and you'll see the difference

IMO - definately.

My car had a 2.5" gasket for a while, going to 3" was massive.

I was running 250rwkw at that stage though, so the effect was more amplified.

i just had the gasket 2.5" for a while

that was bad enough. go visit an exhaust shop and see what they think.

shouldnt be too bad
