DARBZ
Hey all, I've got the current blue screen Apexi RSM and have set up all the functions without any dramas. The problem I'm having is when using the est. power function it only gives me a reading of around 37ps (27kw) I'm just wondering if I have set anything up wrong or if anyone expereaned similar problems? It's installed in my Nissan R31 RB30e+t where by all other functions (rpm, speed readouts ect all work fine.) Anyone? Cheers, Brad. paulr33
you need to; make sure the g-sensors are calibrated correctly make sure vehicle weight is correct (or as close as possible) make sure the speed pulse is correct (and you get correct km/h reading) make sure the rev signal is correct (correct rpm is display) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/120288-apexi-rsm-functions/#findComment-2216971 Share on other sites
DARBZ
Well thanks for that PaulR33, I dont have the optional G-sensor so that could be why its not working correctly. Although I still do get a power reading without it, but it is not working the way it should I presume. Speed display and rpm are working fine. Hmmm might just wait till Saturdays dyno run and 10psi Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/120288-apexi-rsm-functions/#findComment-2218370 Share on other sites
paulr33
im not sure what functions use the gsensor other than lateral G display. i believes it uses that information to correct certain values but not sure how much it is needed. i dont know where it would be getting the power signal from without the gsensors Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/120288-apexi-rsm-functions/#findComment-2218393 Share on other sites

mr_crust
dont worry i found it : PS : A measurement of power commonly used by the Japanese. Multiply by 0.735 to convert to KW, or 0.986 to convert to HP. I was under the immpression the g sensor just compensated for wheelspin for acceleration times, didnt really think it would be able tp measure power in any way, after all all it measures is g forces??? PaulR33 could you tell me what your power loss is set on as that may fix some of my issues. Cheers.
