Kyb Climb Gear Suspension

Got my car up on a hoist today and discovered I have KYB Climb gear suspension in the front and back. Not 100% sure on the springs though.

Are these any good? Has anyone else come across them? Just seeking some info on their characteristics etc.

I think KYB is standard on the r33 gts-t...not 100% sure though...had them when i first had my r33 gts-t in the past....generally soft to me..kindda standard suspension feel....non-adjustable.

I happen to have these shocks as well, compared to a standard shock they have a heavier shaft size and are alot stiffer, chosen for streetable stiffness that doesnt rattle your kindeys too much by an experienced friend. By the sound of the name only, I had the idea they may be tuned for quarter times, overall Im more than happy with them and @ 13.7 they performand well enough but they were the last thing I was concentrating on ATT.

Are your springs lower than standard? Mine are but had no indication of maker on them either but were coloured a similar green to the shocks.

Hi, yep my springs are lower than standard. I think they might have been green also, maybe a package that comes with the shocks?

I dont even think you can get KYB Climb here in aust, car probably came from japan with them? If you want to know what they are like in valving etc, why not get them dynoed?? i know of dyno in perth and melb, I assume whiteline in syd?
