i rate it 3 out of 10. the first one was far better imo. nice cars. nice girls. the driving was about as far from realistic as you can get and the plot was thin at best.

still recommend it tho  lots of top secret/veilside/signal etc etc cars. poor showing of skylines and like jayce said - no amount of nos in that ts rx-7 would allow them to catch that r34 gtr that flew past them. *grumble*

still it was good to see you boys and girls! its been like 6months since i've activley sau'd! :ermm:

d

i didnt like it.

The BAD was: acting was poor, story line = there was none / lame , unrealistic drifting (especially down the mountain at night) , lack of Skylines shown, Too many 350Zs !!!!

The GOOD was: The cars that were shown were crisp.

Rate it 2.5 / 10

Rate first F & F 9 / 10

Rate second F & F 7 / 10

just my 2cents..

Rate FnF3 - A good movie.

Yank actor - didn't like the texas drawl (dribble).

Plot was good acting was ok.

Car scenes, mainly good.

Asian chicks  mighty fine.

Music Trax - needs to be better and LOUDER. You'd of thought "LiL Pup" wouldve been able to get some decent tunes in the movie!

Good to see the whole row+ filled with SAU.

Sorry couldn't stay to chat afters. Had to get son home to eX's and also keen on seeing the 2hrs of Family guy and American Dad.

All up a good movie. Id love to see the first two guys (Paul Walker n Vin) do each FnF sequel but it didn't work that way.

hahah, that was awesome, we had the whole center row of the cinema from end to end! (not the 3 seats against the walls on each side, they don't count :(

loved it, much more than the 1st two, although FnF1 will always be good.

loved everything bout the movie. finally in Japan, and had nothing to do with police undercover which was great, girls were great, beats were japanese as they should be in japan (i thought Teriyaki Boyz did a good job with the theme song), and there was japanese spoken, i thought the movie would be "yank-efied"

10/10, awesome.

tokyo drift was a brilant film. and exsacly every thing i whanted it to be. as i am a film student i look out for the codes and conventions of cinima. and this was by no means your tipical holywood film. the film is filed with asian influance. the opening scence and many of the camera angles throughout the film are definetly asian influance. most of the music throughout the film is asian aswell. what i whantd to see was a cross between the initial-d live film and the fast and the furious. and it was just that.

for those of you who say the drifting was unrealistic, lern how to drift. most of the drift coriography was wacthed over by Keichi Tsuchiya "the drift king" who even makes a small aperance in the film (the guy sitting by the peir with the blue jaket making coments on the drifting)

after waching the first two films again, the day before seeing tokyo drift. the acting particularly in the first film is terable. the third fims acting perfomances leave the first two for dead.

as for story line there is one, with an important message. one the people you chose to hang around determan the type of person you wish to be. and second. dont just street race for the sake of racing. if your going to race do it for somthingimportant.

so overall, i think it was an excelent film, ive all ready seen it 3 times and i plan to see it again.

Well,it's Sunday eve',and I'm still thinking about seeing the movie with most of SAU ACT on Thursday night. I reckon it was a top movie;OK,so some things weren't perfect, but I thought it worked well for the majority! My highlights were more general:seeing a heap of SAU'ers in one spot-more than I've seen in a long time,thankfully-laughing and getting along, faces I haven't seen for a while, new faces(Frink had a particularly notable one with him,and it wasn't his bro'!),nice cars filing into the carpark outside,as Bluprint has said a full row of Skyline nuts and nutettes, the "oohs' and 'ahhs' of fast cars and drifting, the well spotted appearance of the real Drift King in the movie(well picked, M!) and many more things...

Thanks to those who made the effort to come out on a particularly freezing night(mmm....more boost)-good to see y'all!

HERE HERE :D

That was the worst movie I've seen in some time. It had some good bits, the drifting and girls were sweet. I really liked the mountian run and the shots in the city. Great work.

But the issue for me lay in the plot. Who throws the keys the their hot ride to some dude who they have never met before so they can have a go at drifiting??????

That aside, there were too many story shots, and not enough driving. I didn't think the acting was that great either, but it sure beat the last two.

But yeah, I'll wait for the DVD before I take a look again.

I am excitied that it'll help lift the profile of drifting .

Hey Viper, I don't think that street racing ever is a great idea, even if you think whatever its about is important.

    • I wasn’t able to replicate the sound anymore. It was a one time sound so maybe it was just coincidence but it was like small pebbles being dropped in a coke can.   should I try cleaning the MAF? It could be it’s functioning but dirty? I don’t know.
    • Update 4: Hi all. The car drives again! Haven't driven for long, only to store it in the garage again, but the test drive was successful. The coolant and oil leaks seem to be fixed for now. Temps on the engine were also very good, while moving I never even saw 80C water during the approx. 30 minute drive. Ate up all the coolant in the reservoir though so will have to fill that even more when I go to the car next time. One thing that pisses me off is that the RPM gauge is still f**ked, I even resoldered the board twice and used copper paste on the silly screws that are used as connections. Next time I take it out I'll take apart the board and fit new components, I'll see if I can get a replacement IC for it.  I have an appointment set for 22nd of September for the engine tune to 370hp. Alignment also still needs to be done. My hope is that I can get all the legal stuff over with by the end of this season. Anyone of you have advice regarding intercoolers? Currently there is an APEXI core fitted, one of those weird hybrid ones, 600x270x76. I don't think it's bad but it's not new and now I still have the chance to change it now to legally include it in the paperwork. Only issue is that the only options that would arrive in time are a HKS Type R intercooler or generic Ebay spec intercoolers comparable to a JustJap one. Ideally I'd order a Plazmaman but it takes over a month to receive which would mean making the car legal has to wait until next season. Would love to hear some input on this. Same story for my injectors, the previous owner was a nunce and put ID 1050x on the engine. They work but are obviously not ideal at "normal" power levels. But I don't see a reason to change them unless the tuner says it's necessary. I read online before buying a different exhaust that the top secret style rear diffusers won't fit due to the size of the rear resonators. My buddy and I made it work by slightly "adjusting the shape" of the mounting bracket and making some spacers out of 3d print for the mounting bolts. Fits like a charm. Just putting this here in case someone has this problem. Even the hefty HKS Silent Hi Power rear can fits without hitting anything.
    • Well they got my money but they are not getting my gearbox !
    • It's needed for rolling idle up, and I think it is a decider on VCT also.
    • I mean, not really. Link ECU's can absolutely still have errors from the ECU thinking it's getting a sensor it's not expecting. I would imagine the speed at the ECU level in Nistune does absolutely nothing anyway? I assume the ECU does not do any fancy TC stuff with regards to front+rear wheel speed or anything of that like anyway. Someone who uses Nistune may be more fluent in it.
