hey everyone, i got the oppotunity to pick up a good rb25 with box for a real cheap price, but was wondering how hard it is to fit into my r32. is it a straight swap or do the mounts have to be modified? one guy said it cost 7000 all up to do the conversion in his r32, does this sound about right? i have all the rb25 electrics (loom, computer, coils, etc). any help much appriciated!

anyone got anymore information on this

the crossmember i cant see lining up due to the difference in length of the gearbox's and the speedo on the rb25det gearbox is also electronic rather than the mechanical of the rb20det + the tailshaft is also different?

You have to get a tailshaft adapted for the rb25 box (standard rb20 tailshaft welded to rb25 yoke (end spline)), and also a custom crossmember made up. Both of which should only cost you a few hundred dollars all up. When you have it all the box and engine in there it will all make sense what you will need to make that all work.

Been covered many times. I even included it in my thing.. So I don't know what info you need other than getting one made up??

7. If using rb20 box, just use standard r32 speedo cable to get speedo to work fine. Otherwise use the top r32/bottom r33 sensor method to rig up rb25 box

5. Going from auto rb20 to manual + rb25, I need a custom gearbox mount fabricated, as only 2x bolts line up.

    • Out of curiosity, how do you cover up the inspection hole? Surely it doesn't sit open like that, right? With grime and dirt coming in and oil going out?
    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything
