Hey guys im going to be removing my injectors this week and just wanted to know the best way to get them out. As in do i have to take the plenum off or is it possible to get them out with it on. Also if i have to take the plenum off, can you get a gasket from nissan australia for one?

By the looks of the r33 injectors, all i have to do is get the 2 screws out and pop the injectors out.

Car is an R33 GTST.

Thanks, Mike.

Not that simple I'm afraid.

You can get them out without taking the plenum off but it usually takes the same amount in stuff around time if you do it that way anyway. The injectors need to be removed in a specific way. Take the caps off, turn them sideways (so they face the end of the rail) and then grab a LARGE screwdriver, place it between the base of the plug and the rail....make sure t's right in there...then twist. Out she pops. Repeat 6 times lol.

The tricky part is on re-install....you MUST drown the injector seals in lubricant and lube up the injector tubes (in the rail) otherwise you risk pinching the o rings. Don't forget to swap the old o rings to the new injectors or get some new ones. Place the injectors in their respective hole and push hard....if lubricated properly they should POP into place.

The gasket shoul dbe able to be re-used for the plenum if you unbolt it....it is made of rubber so give it a LIGHT coat of sealant on re-assembly.

Simpler is to simply remove the throttle body (after removing X-over pipe), then remove 3 bolts holding the rail in place.

I think, from memory, you need to pull some of the plumbing above #1, #2, but that will be obvious when you are doing it.

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
