EGA - that cat/dump is the same as mine. It is made by BTMBL or least is IDENTICAL to the one that he made me. I wouldnt be surprized if he supplied UAS.

no they get them from the catco distributor

mild/stainless dont produce perforance gains based just on material, only longevity. However, it will take a long time for rust to go through a 1mm pipe....

as you have a highflow, you cannot use the stainless on anyway, you need a split dump/front pipe with a splitter in it, not the pipe extension.

well i just picked up my car from carline mufflers in emu plains, ended up only costing me $70 to fit the cat and the split dump pipe after i sold the old highflow cat that was on the car back to them.

very happy with the price, the quality of work, and the service...cheers mick

if anyone needs an exhaust done, i highly recommend them.

No such thing as boost cut, the ECU has no way of knowing what the boost is.

:D cheers

So I guess the factory MAP sensor that's connected to the intake is just there for show, and the cut out my engine hits at exactly 1.0kg of boost is all in my head huh?

you do know we're talkin about the SII Neo engines don't you? the older 33-based engines might not have one,but the neo sure as hell does.

ask anyone who works on R34's and they'll know about it.

Justin...

both R33 and R34 based engines use AFM's unless you have removed it.

the factory ECU bumps it into rich and retard as stated previously.

(SK has more than passing knowledge of Neo's, personally i wouldn't be tossing grenades that might get thrown back)

    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
