hi guys,

just thought i would bring it to everyone's attention.

i bought some white / blue headlights and momo steering wheel and boss kit, they ordered the boss kit and guess what it doesnt fit, after pulling everything apart i found that out funny thing is they told me it was the right one. when i rang em up cracking the shits they told me there is two different types of boss kits for the gtst r32, now i have to goto springvale tomorrow, sunday, and get the other type, not knowing weather this will fit yet they say it will, headlights dont fit so have to wait swap them too.

arghhhh so f'n annoyed, anyone shopping here make sure you bring someone with you who knows exactly what they need specs and all, do not trust what they say.

putting my EL Dials on now if these dont fit or work im gonna go banana's

they have alot of good things there but the customer service is pox bad

they reckon there is two different boss kits for the r32 gtst.

when i took everything out there was two white parts connected to the car and those parts needed to slide through the boss kit, i think its for the horn or something, anyhow they reckon the other one is there, im still a bit sus, i hope there not giving me a god damn boss kit just for the momo steering wheel, dont even know why they would make two seperate types in a r32 gtst.

seems weird to me......anybody changed the steering wheel on there gtst, im sure 90% of people on here have done it.

just finished putting the cluster in, fits ok, gonna hook it up tomorrow.

definately not buying anything electrical from them again, 2 out of 3 products didnt fit.

Theres a thread somewhere on www.nissansilvia.com on these guys, not very good! Seems like the base is Springvale and they only have muppets at the Footscray store.

Ive got my dials through them and a mate got some indicators, but cos we didnt have a problem with the product we didnt have a problem with them.

Keep us updated on how u go!!

hey, el gauges went on fine, working fine.

they reckon the 2nd boss kit which is suitable for my car will be in on monday or i can drive to springvale today.

i still cant believe the lights didnt even fit, the stupid f could of at least given me the proper ones.

checked nissansilvia, cyber century has some pretty bad reputation, seems like they only good for small bits n pieces, now im contemplating weather to get my altezza lights from them, $380 they were and i found em to be pretty cheap.

by the way, i need vents for the front of the dash, my two came broken off when i got the car, anyone know where to get some?

UPI/Just Jap in Moorabin: 9555-3611

Or even Nissan themselves, id say your closest would be Footscray? :O

Some things are actually cheaper and easier attainable from Nissan.

Tracid, has your car ever had TRD front guards? Saw a Supra exactly like the one in your sig in Footscray about 3 months ago.

Blo0dy Gorgeous!!!

David,

My car came with the wrong boss kit. As a result my hicas warning light comes and goes and the white plastic plate that is meant to spin with the wheel has ceased/gets stuck and subsequently broke the wire to engagae the horn.

Btw, did you buy your car in the last 12 months or so, or have you had it for 2 yearsor so?

bought ma car about 12 months ago yeah, just got back from springy cyber century, they gave me the wrong kit, i had to get the r33 boss kit for some reason.

it fits perfectly now however the lights i got dont fit and they dont have any that do, they reckon for my car its hard to find the proper ones.

im gonna be extra cautious when buying things from shops now, cant take what the shop pplz say.

the white plastic plate is what the other boss kit didnt have slots for.

thanks for the info guys.

    • How would you even adjust the clutch if the pedal already has the correct free play? The operating cylinder has no adjustment in mounting position or rod length. On pull style clutches there is also no ability to adjust the bearing carrier. Push type I can see how adjusting the carrier height makes it all work.   If this is the twin plate clutch did you verify that your friction disks were oriented correctly? It's not mentioned in the directions at all you just have to notice that one side the friction disks have a part number on the hub fingers and a subtle coning to those fingers. Another thing that I noticed was if you put the friction disks in backwards the pressure plate fingers will not be even and flat when the clutch is installed.
    • yeah, mechanically, it is probably do-able, off the top of my head, there would be the transfer case, which I believe will bolt up to the rear of the RWD transmission, the shorter rear tail shaft. A front drive shaft, front diff, engine upper sump, front drive shafts, front hubs and front AWD struts (they are shaped around the front drive shafts), LCAs (at the very least from the front suspension) oil cooler.  You might want the rear diff from an AWD too, so you can be certain the front and rear diff rations are identical.  Who knows what brackets and mounts you might need.  So a whole doner car might be the best option if you need to maintain RHD. Then actually making it work, that would be a whole different story.
