Hi Guys!

After putting up with squeaking suspension since I got the car, I decided to find out what the problem is so I thought I would pay $14 and get pedders to tell me :(

I never intended to have them repair it as they charge like a wounded bull and once I saw the $1700 price tag it made laugh!

I have had a look around the place but have not really found anywhere and hoped someone would be able to point me in the right direction or give some advice as to my options.

I am looking at spending no more than $1000 and would like to lower it at the same time. (R32 GTS-t) I will be buying eveything I need and then either fitting it myself or if I am too lazy, I will get someone (for a few cartons) to fit it for me...

This is the list of what I need.

-Shocks - front, but I will do all (peferably something with above standard performance - but it wont be a race car)

-Lowered springs

-Sway bar bushes

-Upper bushes

-Lower bushes

-Radius bushes

-Bump stops

I have the option of getting some super low king springs on Apexi damper adjustable shocks in good condition for $500 so that may be a good option for that but where do I go for the bushes ect?

Thanks for any help or advice!!

you can buy bushes from whiteline, sydney kid has some threads in the "group buy" section

your list has alot of stuff on it, $1,700 fitted isnt a bad price for all you've mentioned.

I would avoid second hand shocks.

The $1700 fitted is only for stock front shocks and not including springs...

bit steep in my opinion!

I would expect if I were to shop around I could get the bushes for about $300-$400 and shocks for about $300 a pair new...

Tell me if I am dreaming!

$1500 for stock front shocks? Tell 'em they're dreaming!

A full set of new Koni adjustable dampers for my car cost me around that. And my car had only been released to market for around a year, so performance parts were hard to find and not particularly cheap.

But if its with all the bits listed, then as Merlin says its not too bad.

Hi Guys!

I know it's not exactly helpfull but "pedders" ........... "charge like a wounded bull" :(

You'll be well over 1k by the time you source and install everything listed. Consider that replacement of all the front end bushes including an adjustable upper arm will set you back about 400 retail, maybe a bit more with the radius rod bushes replaced with adjustables, and the rears are about the same. Installation of the bushes isn't that hard but removal of everything from the car and pressing the old ones out is time consuming, so expensive. Chuck in your springs and new decent shocks and you will be over 1700 before you know it.

Have a look at the Group Buy thread;

then if you have any questions please just ask.

:( cheers :)

PS stay away from Kings Super Lows, as many guys have found out, they are not a good choice.

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
