Hey,

Just got my suspension checked on my r32gtst, and they recommended changing the Front Castor bushes. (supposedly the stock ones tend to pull to the left). Getting offset Castor bushes will make it drive straighter.

Can anyone shed any light on how true this is. Prob a trivial question but, does one need to change both front castor bushes (when replacing it with offset ones), or just the one side? Also if anyone is selling Castor bushes let me know the price (preferably in bris). Cheers

Andy

Yes mine is doing exactly the same atm.

Have a look for yourself if your bushes are cracked. Turn the wheel all the way out, and have a look at the castor rod. The bushes are this little circle thingy lol.. Wish i had a pic to explain.

Anyways you can either buy adjustable castor bushes which will replace those bushes or you can buy adjustable castor rods which will replace the whole unit. With the adjustable castor rods you wont have any more bushes, but will be replaced with pillow ball joints.. So you car will have more go-kart effect but you will feel the car a lot. By that i mean, you will feel all the bumps and shakes thru the steering wheel. Since our roads are so bad.

So thats one disadvantage about it i guess.. Otherwise they are great upgrades for better handling.

But i suggest getting adjustable castor bushes. More in labour costs, but will be better overall.

Do remember to do wheel alignment after it.

Im in the same boat and im going for adjustable bushes. So will let you know soon how i go. But it wont be for a few weeks.

But im sure SK on here will have a better explaination than i will. But listen to him hahah..

cheers

the told you to get castor bushes cos your castor is uneven and making it pull. adjustable ones will let you even it up so that it will drive straight.

yeah, must do both sides. otherwise will have rubber on one side (soft, old, shit) and urethane on the other (hard, good).

look in sydneykids group buy, theyre cheap in there

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
