ask macnag. he got his car complied in brissy and sending it vis truck back to perth. ce carfull when chossing a compliance center.

Now do you have any aftermarkerts parts installed? Cos that would dictate on the pricing for compliacne as well.

Thanks for the rply, No after markets, car is bog stock....

From my experience recently i would recommend that you send it to Brissie...would not recommend using the place i did in Perth...if you want details send me a PM and ill explain everything!

Otherwise have a look back i think there is another thread called Compliance..i explained the simple stuff of what happened in there!

Honestly save your money go to Brissie and that way you wont pull your hair out!!!

You CAN NOT comply a NON Turbo vehicle

secondly there's no such thing as a non-turbo RS four, it'll be a 25X Four.

Well Actually it doesn't matter any more, as I cancelled the car in Japan this afternoon. No Cost Phew!!

You're all right, can't comply a non turbo. Bugger, really pissed off, but like they say if it sounds too good to be true it probably is!!! the Stag was a silver 99, with 81,000 km, a few bumper scratches (5 in all) a cigarette burn in the center console arm rest, everthing else perfect and my offer of A$2400 was accepted!!. Spent the day trying to organise things, THEN found out about the non-compliance. We obviously need a register for Boring cars as the non-turbo isn't powerful enough!! Seems really stupid. But it wouldn't be the first time a stupid law was made!!!

Back to the drawing board. I guess I'll have to find a Turbo after all, It's just that I want an S2 with FAT, and don't want to end up paying more than have to.

Maybe I'll have to look at Skylines as there is only one person that can comply a Stag in Perth, and they are a dealer too. I've had a look at their (overpriced) stock and I wasn't impressed.

I write more as I find out.

Every day I find out how little I know.... man, this is some learning curve!

I can confirm what darrin said, its under the power to weight requirement of SEVS.

On another note, explain how you have an RS Four nonturbo, as the non turbos are actually 25X Fours from what I know.

Dunno, that's waht the rear badge says, but like I said in another reply it don't matter now!

I'll see if the co. in Japan can find a Turbo for that sort of dosh!! (doubt it ) :)

There is no problems with getting the car even if you dont comply it in Perth I just bought mine and am getting it complied by Shogun/RCN Compliance in Brisbane and they are charging me $3000 for compliance and I am able to arrange shipping for around 500 to 800 bucks which leaves me ahead by $700 to $1000 better off than complying in Perth and they are going to sort any non standard parts for me too so its just too easy. Only got the car 2 weeks ago and have already had the import approval granted and shipping booked.

Use an agent like J-Spec and everything is very easy just sit back wait impatiently and then enjoy your car.

Like Glen says . It is cheaper ,and quicker toget a car sent to Brisvegas, get it complied and truck it to Perth.

I used Prestiege Motorsport in Perth to buy through, and used Iamshe in Southport for compliancing. Phil White is the Man. No hassles cost about $3400 including tyres and lend of stock bits to get it through.

yea i second Phil too. I heard of him from other people said that hes good and resonable price. No BS from him. It pays to call him to check it out.

    • Is it alright to top up with just another green coolant?
    • thanks GTSboy. My confusion at the moment is i am trying to locate the ignition, ECU battery power and the ECU negative The closest thing i can find is the for the S15 on Page 8 of the Wiring Specialties web page https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9F33_M_GgENQnZ6STMxVmVNd1E/view?resourcekey=0-eZ4nNRwRoqa1qvKlWWHm8A I cannot find the same diagram for the R33 RB25DET Series 2 dash plug pin out.... Do you know what the Pins? or know where i can find the same pinout diagram for the RB dash plug? Thanks for the advice on the box... i like a 6 speed so might be on the lookout or the box now.. a topic of discussion for another post...
    • Will have a look at that. I cant see any leaks
    • Put another overflow bottle (ie, a 1.25 coke bottle or similar) under the overflow hose and see if it is being pushed out there or if it is disappearing into the engine.
    • Staring on a stand is no issue. You just have to wire everything up, give it fuel and cross your fingers that the stand is robust enough. Arranging the inlet plumbing is often the hardest part, without any surrounding structure to hand some of it from. No need for coolant if you only want to run it for <1 minute. As to the gearbox - I think the little Aisin box is a bit stronger than the other small Nissan boxes that went behind SRs, but I wouldn't be too keen to test its limits with the torque of a boosted 25. I don't know if you can retain the box and the tailshaft. The box won't connect to the RB without an adapter of some sort, which is either a plate that will push the engine forward (which is not good for fitting it into the bay's available space) or push the box back, which messes with the box position and tailshaft length - OR - cut and shut work on the bellhousing, which is a long way from "least modification". I'd be buying a new 370Z 6 speed or similar, doing what has to be done to that to make it fit RB (ie, cut and shut bellhousing) and the requisite tailshaft custom/mods.
