Either manual conversion or they whacked on a auto steering wheel (maybe the airbag blew and they had to replace the steering wheel)

The buttons you see are the tiptronic buttons I believe.

What does the dash look like? does it show the gears in the middle? if so the car was probably a manual conversion.

Above the tape deck, maybe a CD player? pretty sure its not a TV

thanks 4 the replies guys..

i dont actually have any other pics that could help

i havent got the vin number yet but ill have to ask the supplier 4 it.. the buyer in japan is always at the auctions and takes a while to reply

the thing above the tape deck doesnt look like a cd player at all.. fingers crossed its a tv but knowing my luck its probably not :D

i have noticed that normally the tape deck is under the climate control and theres a spare din underneath..

but mine isnt..

ive attached another pic

Main difference is r34's are push type clutch and 33's series one and before a pull type (or vice versa) I personally wouldn't be too worried if it's been done well.

Do you mind telling us what you paid for it?

if the conversion was done in japan, then you can rest assure it was most likely done properly, no need to stress too much. The only thing of concern is when you import a car like this that has been converted, the auction papers or your broker should have stated this fact.

how long is a while?

it took almost 6 months of looking before I got my manual GT-V sedan.

if you had a full pic of the dash we would be able to see which dash cluster you have because if it was originally a Tiptronic and they've left the tiptronic wheel in place maybe they've left the auto dash cluster in place as well.

if you have a copy of the auction report the VIN will be on it.

Hi,

That is a tv that is connected to the navigation system located at your boot.

I slo have this in my R33 Series 2.

Im guessing its a factory option.

I was wondering if anyone has been able to either use the factory navigation system in AU?

Also I wanted to know if the tv can be hooked up to a dvd player?

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
