Bov
Havent posted for a while so I thought I stick my nose in. Just fitted an oil cooler to the beast. Now I know how Nissan built the GTR. They took an oil filter cartridge and an air con unit and then decided to build a car around it. Next job is to put the car back together, I mean literally 40,000 bits to go back on. I also know why the service manual is so important. If you start at step 5 there is no way the thing will fit. You gotta do it by the book. Cheers and Comon Summer. floody
F#cking skyline engine bays..... My R31 coupe is like the tardis, but in reverse - it looks big but fark no, you can't get near anything. Generally speaking, if you can see something you can't get a tool anywhere near it; conversely if you can get a tool onto something, you normally can't see it. Removing/refitting the gearbox takes 3 feet of assorted extension bars, thats with the Gearbox mount dropped and the back of the box lowered... So, yeah, I'd hate to have to work on a GT-R! I figure by the time I can afford to own one of those, I can afford to pay to torture someone else have someone else perform mechanical work. My old GTS-X was an ass of a thing to work with!!! The GTR is actually easier for some things... But working on them is half the fun!
