Hi guys,

I have an '89 R32 GTS-4 and it's developed a problem in the past week or so ever since I had my ABS unit replaced and brakes bled. I noticed it start creaking (mainly in the front, both sides) as I slow down to a halt. Initially I thought it was the brakes, but other things got me thinking otherwise. Because I had the car lowered 35mm on all four corners recently and ever since I've had that happen it seems to creak occasionally even when not applying the brake. Could it be the shocks creaking when they're under load? Or is it my brakes? I've done a search around on this forum as well as others, and there seems to be no definative answer. I've read about the culprit turning out to be either brakes, shocks or engine mounts. As I'm not exactly a seasoned mechanic :P I'd like to know what I should get checked out first in order to fix the problem (putting the symptoms I've described into account). Any feedback/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :P

Thanks in advance,

Gerard.

P.S. I actually asked Pedders to check my shocks while they changed my springs, and the feedback I got when I got the car back was 'they're a little on the soft side, but they're in good nick.' ... should that count for anything?
