Of course they are not the exact same and i never said that, and obviously people will pay more for a newer model, but i would have thought, that the basic engine is very similar and to say that a 33 gtr will always respond better to mods than a 32 gtr (especially when you consider the weight of the cars) i would not have agreed with.

Also I would consider the fact that the 32gtr in straight line was quicker than the 33 to start with.

Read HPI issue 51 and all will be revealed.

32gtr's are faster than 33's in "stock" form. Wack an exhaust on the 33 and it would be even.

Yeah but whack an exhaust on a r32 and then it would be faster again!!??

i dont read HPI and dont know where i would get a copy of issue 51 from so unless its online im sorry i wont be able to read the article, it sounds interesting though

ill see if I can scan it for you champ and post it up. What im saying is mod for mod the newer model will always make more gains due to things being slightly more revised.

Kool, yeah i get where your comming from and that makes sense, all i was sorta saying was starting with a car that is the quickest and lighest, if you looked at the mods in terms of how much faster they make the car rather than how much more power they give, then the r32 may come out on top, depending on the mods

I'm a R33 lover but i can see where your coming from, stock for stock 32 is quicker, mod for mod wouldn't the 32 still be quicker then??? ohh and the 32 is only quicker in a straight line, not around a track and we all know thats what a GTR does best!!

Not really :)

Face it, the 32 has a few more years under it's belt. If today, you were to line up a STOCK 32 with a STOCK 33, i'll put my money on the 33. From Factory, when new, they were a "bee's prick" faster in the 1/4 mile, but today they are more worn and will stuggle to bet the newer models.

Before you reply all defensive and make more statements like; "the mighty 32 gtr, blah, blah, blah", just remember, i too would buy a 32gtr over the 33gtr, but it has nothing to do with the illussion of them being faster.

I would take a 32 gtr over a 33 as well but I would be heavily swayed towards a 33 if it were a series 3 in midnight purple.........

MNP S3 R33 GT-R is sure one sexy beast, but that's me...

If you want good GT-R, just find one that is in good condition throughtfully whether if it's R32 or R33.

If you want to run on rwd, you could get 2WD/4WD switch thingy, it should work on all model of GT-R (correct me wrong if so).

It's your money, choice and taste, you decide which 1 to choose for, just do what everyone suggested for the ownership of the mighty GT-R.
