hey people, cutting a long story short i bought my series1 r33 skyline a while ago and

it came with a very nice exhaust system,a bit too nice cause the epa defected it so i got a hell cheapo put

on and it sounds like a suzuki swift on its last legs, its a non turbo and i was just wondering is there just a standard performance exhaust wich works well sounds clean and relativly cheap..is there a common type of exhaust for skylines?

so when i take it to get done i can say 'hey id like the super exhaust 2000 please' hehe

so just any general info from anyone whos familiar with exhaust systems would b great!

thanks alot :)

Trust PE2 - quiet, still got a nice rumble to it and gets better throttle response imo

Yeah, just ask them for Trust Power Extreme 2

www.bt-revolution.com (i think thats the website address), they sell them, but you can have a look at what it looks like. Do a search under my user name for the thread titled "new exhaust" or something - i have put up pics of the system.

bear in mind, this is the exhaust that I like, and im not sure if its sound quality is what you are looking for. When I was looking for one I was looking at one thats legal (so it would have to be fairly quiet) - plus for around $800 for the Cat Back it was just perfect.....as the other ones that I was looking at like the apex-i bomber and fujitsubo legalis, I got quotes that were around the $1000 price range....

but good luck with the search. :)

Mmm I got a non-turbo too.. What ever you get, make sure your piping is no bigger than 2.5 and tip shouldn't be much bigger than 4 I'd say... Need a bit of back pressure there I've heard. BTW I got a custom made Hitech exhaust.. pretty good.. around $600

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
