I know its the law but i get so pissed off when bus drivers blatantly pull out once they have picked/dropped someone, its almost like they dont look they just expect us to know there pulling out.

That is actually one of the higher ones up on my list that pisses me off. About half a year ago my girlfriend was driving me to work and she went to go around one of these buses. As she was about a 1/4 of the way around it pulls out and basically cut her off as a median strip was up ahead. She chucked a spac at the bus driver but i was like they are allowed to do it... i then went off at her for going around in a stupid area and putting my baby at risk

Also i hate putting money on every melbourne cup and always loosing  but i guess i should learn from my mistakes hehe

the laws that are in place atm for buses is that you MUST give way to them when pulling out....

Yeh but they pull out when you are ALONG side of them. Where are you meant to go? They pull out THEN indicate, how are you meant to know what the driver is thinking?

That is another thing that pisses me off, peope that turn and THEN indicate, they are there to warn people in advance what you are intending to do.

Another thing is people that pull up at lights and want to turn right, they wait until you are behind them stopped at the lights THEN indicate to turn right so you cant get around them

I just moved from canberra to Sydney, you guys have nothing to complain about. There should not be any d*($# on the ACT roads because they are ALL here in Sydney.

Oh i have one more.... scooters the next scooter that cuts me off is going to have a mark from my FMIC grill in their back. They push through the traffic and take off fast at the lights until they hit max speed at 40kph then hold up traffic. I had one overtake me on the left around a blind corner in the wet the other day. I spent the next 20mins stuck behind him doing 45kph in a 70 zone.

This is great to whinge and bitch....

It is like a free shrink visit :D:D

yea i agree with trooper we have only had one running with the bus which was the incident i mentioned i know they have right of way but if they have there indicator on showing they are pulled over and you go around them and they pull out while you are next to them there is not alot you can do except either continue on or brake and get out of there way.

Also NSW on the whole is gay... when i had to go up to newcastle it never ceased to amaze me the fact that sydney and newcastle just dont have slip lanes they don't exist and when you are trying to go straight ahead and the car in front puts his indicator on right to turn across traffic you have to sit behind him/her... so thats my number 1 tip... in the citys the left lane is usually quicker.

i hate people who dont indicate PERIOD, like at round abouts... WTF? how am i supposed to know where your going?!?!?!?!

if you dont wanna indicate, then you deserve to have your fingers chopped off!

and also people who dont know how to use round abouts. its common sense!!!!

I know exactly what you mean! Its even funnier when you give it some so they can't sneak in front and they ride your ass like angry little scooter men! Proper motor bikes i don't mind and I let in every time but these gay faggio scooters just aren't motorbikes! :P

Proper bikes are fine, because they CAN go 3 times faster than anything else on the road. They dont hold up traffic. It is like scooter riders win themselves "HERO" status by getting out the front of a big "RACE" and just hold everyone off to cross the IMAGINARY line first.

Anyone know a good place that makes custom bull bars for the lines? with barbed spikes on the front and SHARKS WITH LASERS

I know i shouldnt waste posts by just laughing but come on :D

I seem to get "ticked off" quite a bit. I am starting to realise how much pisses me off now i am writing things down.

This one is up there with taxi drivers and scooters though ........THE POST MAN

My mailbox is RIGHT next to the intercom. I order a LOT of things from the net to be delivered. THe delivery guy for australia post gets paid per package and it is faster for him to write "sorry we missed you" cards before he goes out and just slides them into letterboxes when people are home. I have made 11 complaints to australia post and it is still happening. THEN they lost my nismo car mats i bought $300 down the drain because they weren't insured properly:( .

I have started posting things to myself so that i can catch the bugger but I haven't caught him yet....SOON.

I was home all day yesterday when the delivery guy "MISSED ME" so i had to drive to the post office AGAIN to get my parcel which i needed today. I got there at exactly 4:55pm (i syncronise my watch regularly) JUST as i got there they locked the door and told me to come back tomorrow. I told them i was not coming back and that they would have to deliver it to me tomorrow, they said they couldnt do that - they only "try" to deliver once.

I walked around the back and pushed through the back door just as they were closing it and refused to leave until they gave me my package. "please sir you have to leave" " like f*($ im leaving, you should be doing your job so i dont have to waste my time and petrol driving in here 3 times a week". "sir if you dont leave the alarm will go off, and the police will come" "IM NOT LEAVING UNTIL I GET MY MAIL"

Hehe

Anyway moral of story... I got my package... and australia post hates me. :D

Mine is on the ground floor. Instead of reaching down to put the card in he just has to reach up and push 5 buttons. Fedex and private couriers manage to do this without ANY problems.

If i catch him, i will be sure to post updates...hopefully they are from the outside of a cell though :whistling:

Well, I have something that really ticks me off...

Four Wheel Drive drivers!!

How many times have you just been driving along doing the speed limit when a four wheel drive comes flying along doing twice the speed limit with no regard or respect for other people. They think they're king $h!t in their high ass four wheel drives when you cannot see through them, or around them. They'll cut any one off, sit on your ass for 15minutes THEN go around you because you're not doing 120km. I swear, these things are a danger on the road, funny that aren't they "OFF ROAD VEHICLES" especially those idiotswho raise their cars so high they could be a damn truck!! (ADDED NOTE: WE GET DEFETCED FOR BEING TOO LOW BUT THEY SIT 6 FOOT HIGH AND IT'S LEGAL... WTF...BAHHHHHHH HUMBUG!!!!)

How hard is it when you have a four wheel drive parked on either side of you in a car park and are trying to reverse out without losing your ass end!! Then to top it all off, it's a speeding through a car park four wheel drive that almost takes you out!!!!

Another one, females drivers in four wheel drives towing horse floats have been dubbed by the NRMA the most dangerous drivers on the road... Yes I am female, but I so agree with that as they forget they are towing and cut people off and speed with extra weight on the car!

...And they think P Platers with high performance cars are dangerous, why don't they ban them driving four wheel drives and anyone else who drives them this way!!:( let's start a petition to get them off the road lol

One last note... Especially the bogan ones dressed in their hella sexy fluero yellow/orange vests who stare at your fully sick lowered skyline, realise you're a female and wearing a low cut top and mini skirt!! Get a real car then you might get some!!! :):)

    • Did this end up working? Did you take some pictures?
    • And finally, the front lower mount. It was doubly weird. Firstly, the lower mount is held in with a bracket that has 3 bolts (it also acts as the steering lock stop), and then a nut on the shock lower mount itself. So, remove the 3x 14mm head bolts , then the 17mm nut that holds the shock in. From there, you can't actually remove the shock from the lower mount bolt (took me a while to work that out....) Sadly I don't have a pic of the other side, but the swaybar mounts to the same bolt that holds the shock in. You need to push that swaybar mount/bolt back so the shock can be pulled out past the lower control arm.  In this pic you can see the bolt partly pushed back, but it had to go further than that to release the shock. Once the shock is out, putting the new one in is "reverse of disassembly". Put the top of the shock through at least one hole and put a nut on loosely to hold it in place. Put the lower end in place and push the swaybar mount / shock bolt back in place, then loosely attach the other 2 top nuts. Bolt the bracket back in place with the 14mm head bolts and finally put the nut onto the lower bolt. Done....you have new suspension on your v37!
    • And now to the front.  No pics of the 3 nuts holding the front struts on, they are easy to spot. Undo 2 and leave the closest one on loosely. Underneath we have to deal with the wiring again, but this time its worse because the plug is behind the guard liner. You'll have to decide how much of the guard liner to remove, I undid the lower liner's top, inside and lower clips, but didn't pull it full off the guard. Same issue undoing the plug as at the rear, you need to firmly push the release clip from below while equally firmly gripping the plug body and pulling it out of  the socket. I used my fancy electrical disconnect pliers to get in there There is also one clip for the wiring, unlike at the rear I could not get behind it so just had to lever it up and out.....not in great condition to re-use in future.
    • Onto the rear lower shock mount. It's worth starting with a decent degrease to remove 10+ years of road grime, and perhaps also spray a penetrating oil on the shock lower nut. Don't forget to include the shock wiring and plug in the clean.... Deal with the wiring first; you need to release 2 clips where the wiring goes into the bracket (use long nose pliers behind the bracket to compress the clip so you can reuse it), and the rubber mount slides out, then release the plug.  I found it very hard to unplug, from underneath you can compress the tab with a screwdriver or similar, and gently but firmly pull the plug out of the socket (regular pliers may help but don't put too much pressure on the plastic. The lower mount is straightforward, 17mm nut and you can pull the shock out. As I wasn't putting a standard shock back in, I gave the car side wiring socket a generous gob of dialectric grease to keep crap out in the future. Putting the new shock in is straightforward, feed it into at least 1 of the bolt holes at the top and reach around to put a nut on it to hold it up. Then put on the other 2 top nuts loosely and put the shock onto the lower mounting bolt (you may need to lift the hub a little if the new shock is shorter). Tighten the lower nut and 3 upper nuts and you are done. In my case the BC Racing shocks came assembled for the fronts, but the rears needed to re-use the factory strut tops. For that you need spring compressors to take the pressure off the top nut (they are compressed enough when the spring can move between the top and bottom spring seats. Then a 17mm ring spanner to undo the nut while using an 8mm open spanner to stop the shaft turning (or, if you are really lucky you might get it off with a rattle gun).
    • You will now be able to lift the parcel shelf trim enough to get to the shock cover bolts; if you need to full remove the parcel shelf trim for some reason you also remove the escutcheons around the rear seat release and you will have to unplug the high stop light wiring from the boot. Next up is removal of the bracket; 6 nuts and a bolt Good news, you've finally got to the strut top! Remove the dust cover and the 3 shock mount nuts (perhaps leave 1 on lightly for now....) Same on the other side, but easier now you've done it all before
