Changed My 33 Climate Control Lights To Blue(pics)

Recommended Posts

I would consider doing all this if there was a way we show the whole legnth of the needles. Anyone actually get everything perfect? As in equal light spread and no dark spots on the needle?

yeah they'd be good..maybe i could snap my needles while installing them..

and if not, watching the RPM needle get stuck at 4-5000rpm will be cool :)

+ i dont really want the white faced dials during the day. this "mod" is way cheaper, and does the job perfectly fine for me

i chagned the globes this week but i replaced them wtih normal wedge type globes rather than LEDs...

i used some that i got from eBay.. paid $35 for 6 glboes including delivery

they are xenon+hallogen filled and blue tinted, similar to what you would upgrade to with a headlight

so the results is much brighter and whiter light :D

but it has a tinge of blue in it too...

and i used the last globe (i bought 6 and it requires 5) to change the backlight for the auto trans gear shifter.. from a green to a blue also..

definately brighter and worth the cash!

Hi Guys!

I got 10 of these LED bulbs. They are brand new never installed. Blue in colour.

I no longer require these. PM me if you are interested. I'm sure we can work something out. :P

Just wondering if anyone has any any success changing the light colour of the cigarette lighter?

I pulled the bulb out but it seems to be moulded into the plastic which has a unique connector. It looks impossible to put a LED + resistor into the plastics.

Any ideas?

Kev

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
