Hi everyone!

I think the title said it all...

For all those in adelaide, hopefully you've checked out the SA section of the forum and read about the SAU cruise thats happening today...

I'll be heading into town for it today and was just wondering how many other stageas will be there...

Looking forward to meeting some of you (if not today, maybe another time? should do a stagea-only cruise someday ).

I'm fairly sure Tangles is coming.

It would be great if you show me your car there as i wanna change from the R34 to a stagea

Ok, mine's the white S2 - i'm pretty sure it'll be the only one there. Haven't seen any S2's in adelaide yet, though I'm sure there are a few.

Interesting you want to change to a stagea. IMO the interior of the stagea is slightly better.

I was deciding between an r34 4door and a stagea s2 back in march and finally went with the stagea.

For me it was the uniqueness of the stagea, and the nicer interior, and I think the whole sports wagon thing is cool.

It was all a matter of practicality and the stagea has loads of boot space which we've used many times now. I'm very glad with our decision.

The r34 would've been a lot faster, due to ~200kg less weight but the stagea has AWD to compensate and still has lots of power potential (depending what you want the car for) and AWD is great for driving in the wet. Just gives more confidence.

More pics from the actual cruise on this thread : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...8093&st=200 page 10 onwards................

Sorry - only took a few of the Stags........ my little lad was SOOOOO wanting to climb the big Rocking Horse, "play with me Dadda, play with me" - how can you resist that?

Was great to meet you Steve (Pixl8r) - nice and clean S2; pity about that front fender scratch hey! Im guessing you never saw the crack in my rear bar then?

Alex, cheers; you're right, as always, GTT rims on a Stagea without centrecaps looks HORN (imo - others agreed on the day tho)

Apologies for not getting better pics - its hard to watch the youngun, chat to likeminded ppl (great to meet the ledgendary Cubes etc), and take photos too. Top arvo tho, always a pleasure to drive thru the Adelaide Hills...... hell, I even felt my 'chassis' for the first time, LOL :P

Yeah i saw that scratch on the front when i got to the Gold Coast to pick the car up. The guy at the dealer's told me over the phone "ha if you want photos of scratches i'd hafta make some scratches first'...and then i get there and there's like 6 or 7 noticeable scratches. The interior was spotless so it wasn't all bad...and the outside isn't too bad overall. But just another big lesson never to trust a car dealer. I never got to see the auction papers either - even though I asked for them. They said they dont keep them (yeah right - happens to be a legal requirement that they do) - so all I have is several mechanic's word that the km's do appear genuine. And it is auction grade 4.

I thought about GTT rims before - and seeing them on your car really helped. For the money you cant beat them. I've seen some on ebay before, might keep on looking. Not in a hurry - just if i see a bargain sometime...ideally I'd want 18's but i'll never be able to afford a good set of those.

I got plenty of photos. I loved the photos of all the skylines in one big line driving through the adelaide hills...yeah!!

    • Ok so after much research and talking with knowledgeable people I've got my turbo conversion done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.  Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd. But nothing drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic.  I'm sure there is may e 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Dose anyone here have any ideas?   Cheers guys
    • Sorry I haven't been following all the detail, so you may have tried this. Does it idle with the tiniest bit of throttle you can add? You've mentioned the IACV, does it have an AAC valve and have you adjusted it at all (ie, screw the idle adjust screw all the way in, then back it out a couple of turns until idle is stable)?
    • My bad, I unplugged the one underlined in red instead of yellow before. With the car started, after unplugging the IACV (the one underlined in yellow), it idled at around 400/500 for 3 seconds before stalling. Attempting to start the car without the IACV will not start the car.   It does stutter and sputter for around 5 seconds before dying. However, immediately after starting it, you can already hear some slight sputters from the exhaust.   It won't start with the AFM unplugged. If it is when the car has already started, it stalls in a few seconds.   Yesterday, I did take some logs using Nistune of 3 scenarios. Car idling till it stalls Car idling and unplugging the IACV Car idling and removing the AFM I also have some previous logs of when the Car is idling till it stalls and when driving and it cuts. I am not really knowledgeable enough to understand what to look for. After every test, car idles rougher and rougher, until I have to stop. It will be fine the day after.
    • There is no difference between a 17x8 and an 18x8. The total diameter of the tyre needs to remain +/- the same (so you don't mess up the gearing, speedo reading, and clearance when turning front wheels..... so you just need to use a lower profile tyre on th 18 than you do on the 17. /rocket surgery.
    • I thought the same to start with. But then I thought it was one of those LCAs where the end of the ARB goes through a bushing in the LCA itself, instead of having an end link.
