Anyone do the city to surf today?

An hour and 5 minutes today in D grade, cos they ran out of C grade race packs at the Health and Lifestyle expo on friday. My legs and feet are beat.

Didn't train nearly as much as last year, walked longer and more often and still came in two minutes faster than last year.

The 10km mark really kills you, looked at my watch and i was at 51mins, just ran out of steam to break the hour mark, which i was aiming for.

Damn good exercise and its for charity too, and if you're a soft cock there's a 4km walk / run for you too.

see you there next year!!!

i did the city to surf.. used about 2L of BP Ultimate...

6km per litre.. thats about right

i used about a litre of water... :D

i ran about 11.5kms of it, walked the big hill near Underwood / Jersey st i think it is, as well as a bit around the 10km mark. around the 10-11km mark you can see the damn hardcore A graders start running back along the same route, show offs!

I'm walking like an old grandpa today though, walking down the stairs is teh worstest.

    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
