34 Just Dynoed But Problem

Recommended Posts

just got the 34 dynoed but the bloke reckons its not running right and needs a tune. but what does that mean ? like mechanical tune or computer tune . it looks to be fuel related because it looses power but you be the judge. any help would be apreciated

i'd be saying rich and retard.. buy a powerfc and go back and see those blokes for tuning

little cameron (the little fella with black hair) that works there, he is an awesome fc tuner

also.. i'd be staying away from people who dont work for a workshop and claim to know how to tune powerfc.. regardless if they have the stuff or not.. it doesnt mean they know wat they are doin.

SVS have by far the best bloke for powerfc's cairns

Yep you have the classic 'S' in the power curve at the top end, the load scale on the R34's drops timing by around 10 degrees as you go over a critical airflow point ~12psi on a stock GTT will see this happen. Funnily enough you have got almost the same power my car had with exactly the same problem

As Adam said, try dropping the boost a tad on the dyno, you should see a nice curve form when you get the boost right.

The only way to go from here is to get an aftermarket computer so you can eliminate the factory retard at higher boost, on a positive note it stops you trying to squeeze too much out of the stock turbo :P
