Like topic stated,

Can we have a list of what parts can be use from the three RB26 models for each others? Mainly focus on GTRs, other than that will be usual popular upgrades for Gts-t that use Gtr bits.

For example, R33gtr suspension can be use on R34gtr but not R32, front pipe would fit through out all models, turbo fit on all three.

Also ALL Gtr standard turbos come with ceramic exhaust wheels. Only N1, Le Man, Nismo has steel exhaust wheels.

Usefull turbo charts for GTR TURBO CHART

Exterior and Interior Parts:

* Front and rear wiper arms?

* Gtr seats from all models will bolt on to each other.

*GTRs seat would fit on all Gts-t, direct bolt on ( ? ).

*Strut braces, GTR ones will fit gts-t

Drive train:

* R33 and R34 clutch are the same, pull type. Only new R32 (rare) will come with pull type, the rest are PUSH.

Engine and Mechanical parts:

* Fuel pump? I believe fitting, brackets are the same obviously R34 flow more and so on....

* Injectors, all three models are the same.

* AFMs, all three are the same as well.

*Starter Motors has the same part numbers, Rb20 bolt on to Rb26.

* Brake? Brembo from GTRs will fit all skylines, its a matter of gtst WILL need bigger rims for clearance and offcourse ROLL GUARDS.

* Power steering pump?

* Pully?

* Engine mount?

*rb25 and rb26 rods are interchangeable (rb25neo have gtr rods standard). also, big end bearings are the same.

SECUR1TY

Suspension and Wheels:

*R32 Gtr suspension will fit R32 Gts-4 and only.

*R33 Gts-t only fit R33Gts-t?

*R33 Gtr is the same with R34 Gtr and R34 Gt-t. Obviously GTR will be more firm and V-spec models will be slightly lower.

*R34gtr wheels will fit R32Gtr and R33Gtr, so is the other ways around. ONLY R32Gtr wheels won't fit 33,34 due to Brembo size.

Keep them coming guys! A rich man peice of junk is a poor man dump pipe :) ! Oh even Gtst too, you know, like R34 gtr screen thing will fit R34gt-t and work?

there are alot of parts, this thread will probably die in the ass as they've all pretty much been covered.

the most popular (read: important) mod to know is that GTR badges glue really well onto gtst's.

Umm... I think the clutch changes to push in the R34's?

Anyway, R34GTT intercooler works and fits fine.

And R34GTT wheels.

That's just what i've done. =-]

This thread will have particular problems with posts like this.

R33 GTR's and all R34's have pull type clutches but R33 GTST and most R32's have the push type.

Also Randy, you say R34GTT intercooler and wheels work and fits fine. Fits what?

Sorry mate, not trying to pick on you.

The only way this thread will work is if it goes forever and the first post gets continuously updated as new things get posted. Are you prepared to be custodian of this thread for a couple of years west? Are you prepared to do some work trawling the forums for things you can put in here so that people don't have to repost stuff in here that already exists elsewhere? If you put some effort into it it could be really good. If not it will die.

We've had a list like this running at Nissanexa.com for a while now. It's a really handy reference if kept up to date.

Ne.com Interchangable Parts List

Just break it down into readable categories (suspension, turbo, exhaust, charging, accessories, etc). This sort of thing would also be good as a wikipedia article.

Hey no drama! I was referring to this car:

EDIT: Bob is right though.. this will be really hard to get accurate. There is another thread going for differences between R33 models alone. The 98 series 2 R33 has the same CAS as the R34GTT, so it's interchangeable with SOME R33's, not all. Then there's the GTR's to take care of... might want to keep it to just a "popular upgrades" list?

Like wheels and intercooler.. basic stuff so new owners can get an idea of what they can upgrade cheaply (and stealthily)

Updated, any points will be taken, will improve lay out when we have more inputs.

Thank you guys!

All we want is just simple things, there might be say an R33gtr steering rack for sale for $100 and us R32gtr or gtst have to spend $300 + to have our stock unit re-condition when the up grade is there but we dont' know.

just a suggestion if you're going to get serious about this, you might want to outlay the first thread like:

Engine parts:

(then sub-headings like injectors, bottom end, head)

Body:

Suspension:

Iinduction:

Exhaust:

ill add:

rb25 and rb26 rods are interchangeable (rb25neo have gtr rods standard). also, big end bearings are the same.

water pumps are interchangeable between most rb motors, i.e. 20/25/26/30 are interchangeable but i read that you need to weld a hole if using the rb30 one (i didnt need to).

R34's use a different water pump to R33/R32's. These aren't interchangeble.

- R34 GTR wheels will fit R34 GTT with minimal scrubbing. And will not falsely trigger the slip light.

- R34 GTT wheels will not fit R32 GTS-T without a spacer.

- S15 side indicator lights will fit R34.

- S15 blank key is suitable for R34 GTT.

Maybe on a GTR but not on a GTS-T without spacers. Just ask thanglongz, who i sold my 34 GTT rims to, there wasn't enough caliper clearance.

fair enough. yeah i brought some R34 GTT rims for run about rubber as i sold my old rims and had new tyres sitting at home. they clear my calipers with around 3mm spare.. they could do with spaces to get them to fill the GTR guards.

more to the list :)

Strut braces

starter motors. - could all be same part numbers. but u can use RB20 in RB26..

    • I've got the rear ones, they're certainly beefy. I need to take them to my driveshaft guru to check over, he's very fussy about the quality of components so I'll let you know if they are made of cheese by a blind man.   Are you in Australia? A mate just had a set of EN26 shafts made for his K20 Lotus by our fabricator which were quite cheap (compared to Driveshaft Shop) so if you can procure the CV's and draw what you need he'd make them for ~$800 for the pair.
    • Had I known the diff between R32 and R33 suspension I would have R33 suspension. That ship has sailed so I'm doing my best to replicate a drop spindle without spending $4k on a Billet one.
    • OEM suspension starts to bind as soon as the car gets away from stock height. I locked in the caster and camber before cutting off the kingpin. I then let the upright down in a natural (unbound) state before re-attaching it. Now it moves freely in bump and droop relative to the new ride height. My plan is to add GKTech arms before the car is finished so I can dial camber and caster further. It will be fine. This isn't rocket science. Caster looks good, camber is good, upper arm doesn't cause crazy gain and it is now closer to the stock angle and bump steer checks out. Send it.
    • Pay careful attention to the kinematics of that upper arm. The bloody things don't work properly even on a normal stock height R32. Nissan really screwed the pooch on that one. The fixes have included changing the hole locations on the bracket to change the angle of the inner pivot (which was fairly successful but usually makes it impossible to install or remove the arm without unbolting the bracket from the tower, which sucks) and various swivelling upper arm designs. ALL the swivelling upper arm designs that look like a capital I (with serifs) suck. All of them. Some of them are in fact terribly unsafe. Even the best one of them (the old UAS design) shat itself in short order on my car. The only upper arm that works as advertised and is pretty safe is the GKTech one. But it is high maintenance on a street car. I'm guessing that a 600HP car as (stupidly, IMO) low as you are going is not going to be a regular driver. So the maintenance issues on suspension parts are probably not going to be a problem. But you really must make sure that however your fairly drastically modded suspension ends up, that the upper arms swing through an arc that wants to keep the inner and outer bolts parallel. If the outer end travels through an arc that makes that end's bolt want to skew away from parallel with the inner bolt, you will build up enormous binding and compressing forces in the bushes, chew them out and hate life. The suspension compliance can actually be dominated by the bush binding, not the spring rate! It may be the case that even something like the GKTech arm won't work if your suspension kinematics become too weird, courtesy of all the cut and shut going on. Although you at least say there's no binding now, so maybe you're OK. Seeing as you're in the build phase, you could consider using R33/4 type upper arms (either that actual arm, OEM or aftermarket) or any similar wishbone designed to suit your available space, so alleviate the silliness of the R32 design. Then you can locate your inner pivots to provide the correct kinematics (camber gain on compression, etc).
    • The frontend wouldn't go low enough because the coilover was max low and the upper control arm would collapse into itself and potentially bottom out in the strut tower. I made a brace and cut off the kingpin and then moved the upright down 1.25" and welded. i still have to finish but this gives an idea. Now I can have a normal 3.25" of shock travel and things aren't binding. I'm also dropping the lower arm and tie rod 1.25".
