hey everyone, i was wondering if anyone could help me out here,

I've recently changed my spark plugs, and i'm getting now bad misfiring and bopping sounds when i accelerate, but when i put my old sparkies in, the bopping sound and misfiring stops..

i'm not sure if my old sparkies have been gapped but what should the gap size be in a stock 93' r33gtst?

i've also bought a different set of sparkies just to see if the ones i bought were faulty, but yet again, same outcome..

:D:happy::sick:

At least you know its the spark plugs, It will be the gap size just adjust to your old ones.

What brand are they? NGK Plugs come pre-gapped. Iridium ones are not too bad. Expensive though. Do most manufactures pre gap?

Regards

Brad

To my knowledge they are always pre-gapped but it is a good idea to double check them.

Second that!

You can get several different gaps for most plugs. Be very careful if you're gapping iridium(spelling) or platnum plugs as it's very easy to knock off the point

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
