Hey,

I think my rear tyres are wearing out a little. I've been launching at 3000 RPM lately and doing big wheel spins, when they used to bite rather quickly.

Where is a good place to get new rubber in Sydney metro? Any brand/model suggestions?

I heard Bridgestone Potenza and Dunlop Formula FM901s were good, the latter particularly in the wet. I have stock wheels and am looking for 225s all around (which is what I currently have).

You and every other skyline owner on the planet...

Mine are getting rather shagged to.

I've been told that buying good 2nd hand tyres is the go if you want to do weird shit and replace them every 6 months.

There are at least 4 tyre joints in Granville so I'm starting there...

Hey Timmyg,

R type rubber (Dunlop d01J, bridgestone re540s etc) require a comitted driver for the road. Best grip, but expensive, noise, wear out super quick, tramline etc etc.

If you're looking for a decent road tyre, I'd recommend falken FK451s, others swear by dunlop fm901s.

Has to be 1 of the most comprehensive tire sites on the net that ive seen. Im sure it will be very benifical to all of us.

There's no Skyline listed under Nissan/1996.

Is the Skyline listed under any year?

I did I bit of calling around today for tyres for my Corolla (it's due for rego in a few weeks) and after making about 8 calls in and around the Parramatta area, I found either Mathews Tyre Service (in Seven Hills) or Baulkham Hills Tyre King are the go...

Mathews offered me a choice of 5 brands at $110 a corner (either Goodyear, Yokohama, Dunlop, Toyo or Pirelli) and Baulko Tyre King offered me Falkens for $95. These are prices for 195/50/15's, and admittedly I didn't get all the exact models of each tyre to make complete comparisons, but it's a decent guide considering I'm not gonna compete in any track days (not in this car, anyway...).

    • Out of curiosity, how do you cover up the inspection hole? Surely it doesn't sit open like that, right? With grime and dirt coming in and oil going out?
    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything
