yep would love to do both... whos maria :P

Kart Maria Nov 5th, gepps cross

will see if lee wants to come also

last time we went there it was like $32 for 1 100lap bathurst style race where u pair up and have 4 pit stops so

driver 1 does 25 laps swap

driver 2 does 25 laps swap repeat

by the end of it i was knackered (my hands that is)

Yeh thats the best way too do it. We went as a big group from work after we finished busy period. Had like 8 teams of 3 peeps, 160 laps all up. 20 laps then pit, if you dont then ya get flagged and do 10 second penalty stops. Ended up taking over my bosses seat, so was pittin in on my team then jumping into the other teams car and racing that. Towards the end the karts were just skipping like crazy, aint been that hammered in ages me thinks

Instead of Kart mania are there any fast Karts around still?

2stroke powa... :P bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

EDIT: Bah can't find them in SA. :D

They used to be up near Kart Mania Gepps Cross; went one day to find a whole lot of people from Minda down there. I still can't believe they put a down syndrome kid on one of their Karts. He came out of the pits, flattened it and didn't let off. bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa down the straight then bang in to the tyres. He didn't turn. argg... he appeared pretty hurt too.

Adelaide Fast Karts at Caven Rd, Caven. We always used to go there till my mate got banned for driving over his uncles kart and braking his wrist :D Dont know if they're still there tho

no there not there anymore :D havnt been for sum time now

I know a lot of them shut down due to Insurance premiums,

Hit the nail on the head. Adelaide Fast Karts closed down once the insurance premiums went through the roof after September 11th. It took about a year before they closed down (after they named premiums were going to go up). I used to go there all the time, it was wicked and you literally had to 'roll' around the corner's (or drift :(). And they had no restrictions around the tyres -> Meaning proper racing with no stupid nonsense. Anyways, tis closed and wish it was back. :)

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
