How Much Boost?

hey guys

i just picked up some r32 n1 turbos, i no there not the best replacement turbos

but for $500 they are a little bit more piece of mind instead of the ceramic turbines.

im just curious how much boost can run with out changing ecu, injectors ect..

my mods are full exhaust with decat and aftermarket front pipes and blitz air pods.

any help will be apprecacted

my guess is around 12-14 psi maybe

im running 1 bar now

depends also on the condition of the turbo's, if they havnt been reco'd then chances are at 1 bar they wont (depending on how you drive) last that long

CRD said that my old ceramic stockers should be fine with 14psi with the conservative tune they gave me. So, the boost figure that will be safe for you depends on the state of the tune as well as the condition of the turbos.

AFAIK (which isnt much) the standard fuel system is only good for ~280awkw, and after that you'll need higher spec injectors and pump. You probably wouldnt want to go that far with the standard ECU anyway...

I guess that doesnt help much...

these arent the stock cermaic turbines these turbos are n1 steel wheel

its more a matter of the ecu limiting things and not the turbos

ive seen people run bigger garretts on the stock ecu at a little over 14 psi and the thing dies in the arse up top with fuel bombardment
