This Chroming or painting, does this help with the heat like ceramic coating?

no, i think this is just to make it look pretty.

what you'll need for temp would be HPC coating, or get some of that exhaust wrap.

p.s - the link in your signature doesnt work try this one instead

we now have four buyers and are pretty much good to go - i'll let it run for another 2 weeks or so (14th november) in accordance with group buy forum rules.

i've asked about chroming and/or painting, and i've requested if they can do hpc coating - still waiting on a reply sometime this week.

let every rb20/25de owner know about this group buy, these are damn good prices.

as long as everyone in the first post is in, then we will get them at the cheaper price. i might give them a call sometime this week to give it a little kick in the bum.

im interested....

whats the go for an r31, with rb30e

i will enquire for you and if available, i will see if they will allow to include it with prices.

Gday mate,

Yep, well you can count me in 100% for the extractors and a gasket, lets hope we secure the 4+ people eh' :ninja:

I think I’ll hit up the black paint when it gets here lol,

But just to remind you I’ll have my money on the 8th - 9th (you know how lousy banks are lol),

So just shoot me a PM about payment details,

Any issues just reply, I’ll be watching this thread like a hawk lol,

Regards,

Sean'O

hey guys. i've sent out 3 emails, from the 24th october, 29th october and 2nd november, and i have not recieved further correspondence other than the info i've given you all.

they might be busy, and i'm am going to give it till mid-next week for them to reply back to us, i will then give them a friendly call to see what the go is.

i want these extractors as bad as you do and hope this will be a textbook group buy. i won't ask for any payment from anyone until i (we) feel that we have their full attention, and are confident they arent pussy footing with our buy.

sorry about this, just keeping you guys updated

cheers

hope it goes ahead, cause i just won the money for them on the pokies. woot woot.

btw. i won't be needing them painted

FIRST POST UPDATED

guys, some good news... i've called up and we are pretty much good to go.

- they are able to cut the outlet back to 2.25 to 2.50", since i know most of you would have/looking into a catback system in future.

- hpc coating is AUD$170 per header.

- i've also made mention about the orange paint and they are looking into that, obviously not a worry with HPC coating.

- i've also made arrangements for a variety of shipment, these will go from them straight to your door.

- rb30e extractor is also available (the code is D5) and i have sweet talked them into including that into the arranged price with rb20/25.

shipment options

International Express (1-3 days) AUD$100.00

International Air (3-6 days) AUD$70.00

International Economy ( 10-15 days) AUD$60.00

What do you mean by cutting the outlet back?

cutting it back to the collector and welding a 2.xx" one on instead, i'm not 100% sure - i guess it depends if they have them pre-made or are fabricating as we order them...

i'm guessing the later, so they'll just weld on a 2.xx" instead of a 2.00"

Hey again,

Just to clarify, what kind of HPC coating in particular is it?

Will they be coating the header both internally and externally?

Will it provide heat protection like the heat wrap used by Greg?

$170 for the coating is a pretty good price too considering that the heat wrap and high temp paint used by Greg will end up being a similar price.

Also, by changing the outlet, does it alter the overall cost of the unit?

Regards Sean'O

    • Went to a drift practice day at a local circuit (held on the reserve parking area behind the grandstand) for the first time in about 15 years. Some kei cars were drifting as well, a not so surprising Suzuki Carry truck, and two 1st gen Daihatsu Copens that were converted to rear wheel drive(!) using Daihatsu Boon X4 transfer case, prop shaft and rear diff, obviously omitting the front driveshafts. They looked really fun to slide. I heard that they cost "about half" as much as a Nissan Silvia etc to run.  On the track 'Tech M' a local BMW tuning garage had a customer track day. Mainly recent models but there was one E36 which looked ancient among all the current models. It was cool watching the drifting and then turning around and seeing random people thrashing their M3/4s  central-circuit-drift-practice-2025-05-18-long-yt.mp4
    • I prefer it with those wheels (sacrilege?) 😋 Here's a photo of a fully original one for reference. The price is $350K....
    • I would like to keep it around 15k but if I need more to make it reliable and not have to worry about the car breaking I can go more. It's my project car so I'm just trying g to figure out what needs to be in it i know basic things like turbo cams injectors I'm just unsure of the size and the specifics so I'm spending alot of time on Google and its mostly rb25 and rb26 not alot on neo
    • This. They would need some tricky maneouvering to keep the income out of the country (the US). Which isn't helpful if that's where you want the income to end up.
