man theres no denying it.

r34gtr= 280hp

0-100 in 4.9

3395kgs

and is 4wd = nooooooooo

s8=280hp

1205kgs

0-100 in 4.6sec

and thats the 13b !!!

20b=320hp on 10psi

1205kgs.

sry cant find weight

30b= couldnt be bothered looking, but is triple turbo. oh yea

now u decide, rx7 or the common gtr?

ive made my choice :(

You need to get your facts straight. a GTR does not weigh 3.4k kgs and the Gen3 RX-7's are not 1205kgs.

There is also no such thing as a 30B so stop making shit up.

thats right i do own a r33, and now that ive had a skyline, i want to move onto bigger and better things.

lol, u guys are worse that vl commonhore guys. there are other more powerfull cars out ther.

now the z tune is a good car but, why get one when u could get a ferrari for the same price?

another major prob with a gtr is 4wd, not my cup a tea.\\

rx7- new seals, injectors, ecu, balance rotors=400kw

for a gtr to match that ude need forgies, pump, squireters......list goes on....

therefore, im gonna keep this r33 till i save up $20-25k for a S8

Thought I should also mention that injectors, ECU and balance rotors does not = 400kw.

The standard S8 pump only flows enough for 400rwhp or 300rwkw at max. The turbos max out before this anyway. The factory intercooler cannot handle the airflow for 400kw and then you have the problem of Rotor A trying to leave the housing through Rotor B because you chose to NOT upgrade properly.

Yes RX-7's are good.....but not that good.

Sweet, sunny coast thread!

No skyline here... but im waiting on a stagea to come off a boat from japan by some miracle.

Anyone else sunburnt?

Welcome Aboard!!!!!!

I love Stagea's (spelling???), they look very sleek. If i didnt own my 34, i'd own a Stag....

Hope to see you around buddie.

Cheers.

No i dont like it at all...why would u make a GTR a stationwagon. why would u make any sports car a station wagon...ITS LIKE MAKING A DODGE VIPER INTO A STATIONWAGON...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

:rant::rant::down::);):angry::huh::huh::);)

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why do you keep calling a viper a sports car

ecconovans have rear leaf springs

70 series landcruiser utes have rear leaf springs

horse drawn wagons have leaf springs

viper has leaf springs

putting it frimly in the agricultural vehical range

OK I HAVE LAUGHED MORE HERE THAN DURING A SCRUBS EPISODE...

plus what type of 400kw u talking about? u could boost spike to make 400kw, u could hit it with a farking 300hp shot of gas. or u could spend to $$$'s and get the power everywhere, not just being a peaky 400kw

i can't believe how wankerfull the '07 crew is :)

how wankelfull.. get it wankel..

barp barp barp

When will people be more like us Shane. They all forget what a real build is.

I think when people work out what a decent twin/triple plate clutch costs, along with a fuel system elaborate enough to supply 400rwkw, they’ll work out quick just what the real costs are for big kw figures, that last more then a few dyno pull's.

lol.. rotors are fine for what they are.

Where did I say it’s my Porsche? I didn’t. I said I could be seen in one.

I’m not out too change your mind on anything. You’re just oblivious to what things cost. Sure, you MIGHT crack 400rwkw, but not without a big gas kit and it’s not going to last very long.

So your “400kw” rx7, really isn’t 400kw at all.

try driving a GTR with 400kw. compared to a RX7 with 400kw... r33cruiser. sorry mate. ur jumping to conclusions.. the RX7s had shit drive trains and shit diffs.. gosh ther diffs are weak helical shit things.. there cooling systems is a size off with a civic.. so primative.. the only plus points with the RX7 is peaky top end. able to rev but quite dull. balance between having the engine further back. yada yada..

now look at a GTR. awd. the 6spd R34 box is fine for that power.. (debateabe) diffs fine. its built better. strong much like kanye wests song...

ok daft punk.

look at the tskuba super battle.. top cars are evo/GTR/nsx and a RX7 way down the list.

turbo $2500

manifold $1200

clutch $1200

emu $2000

+2000 for tuning

China parts make me cry :(

ill get u a tissue

A viper? lol... Yeh they are tough. But I would take the rx7 or the R34 before a Viper.

lol push rods.. shut up shane

Thats why you don't run stock gear sets :sorcerer:

except on 5th and flat shift and kill it.. :D

Remember the old adage Nizmo. Dont argue with an idiot, he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. :D

bahaha

does the viper really have a fixed axel..??? damn.. american technology is great.. i knw they are still SOHC.. and putting out 7L models..

well andy has a point.

same way as shane thinks my car is shit cause i got rocker arms... so apparently i have a primative V8 yay...

same as my car is a hatch.. it looks more like a coupe honestly.. i do have 44acres of glass on the back though :D

and SHANE IS GAY

Last time I looked they did...did a really good job of binding up on the dipper at Bathurst and spearing them off in to the kitty litter

you cant tell me a viper isnt a sports car :D..and thats not my point anyway!

Sports cars are a nice handling over all package.....the viper is a large powerful engine attached to a chassis built manily around 2 bits of railway track

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
