uh yeah cause they have bigger things.. i wnat the brakes. its not rocker science that skylines got bigger things to accomodate the weight and bulk of the vehicle..

Geee ya think captain obvious.

SRs ull find have more torque.. also a dicussion i had with my mate who has a N1 GTR and owned wrxs 180sx vspec gtrs everythin good friend of homer rules. was telling me bout the gearing on the SR box is more suitable than his GTST 33 and he has a 3540 i havent really experimented myself as of yet.

What utter bullshit, pure dribble and nonsense.

Lets look at some facts.

From factory; S13 180 SX, 2.0 Litre SR20DET, 1998cc DOHC 16 valve, Turbo ,4 cylinder, power 153kw @ 6000rpm, torque 274nm @ 4000rpm, rev limit 7500rpm, 1170-1230 kg, 0 - 100 6.18 seconds, 1/4 mile 14.30 seconds.

From factory; Skyline R32 GT-R RB26DETT, 2568cc DOHC 24 valve, EFI Straight 6 Twin Turbo, power 208kw @ 6400rpm, torque 353nm @ 4400rpm, rev limit 7500rpm, 1470 kg, 0 - 100 4.79 seconds. 1/4 12.80 seconds.

u care thats why u log on and read it instead of looking at porn.. but wer not starting massive debate. i just have more confidence in the lighter chassis SRs than the skylines.

I care you're posting on the wrong forums, there's a great forum for talking about silvia's and 180's and the all conquering sr motor, its called nissansilvia.com, try it? I think almost everyone will have more confidence in a lighter chassy car, thats why poeple modify them to be lighter?

ahaha... is that me... i love skyrines.. i have worked on many and driven more than u can count so dnt think i dont appreciate skyrines.. but only a GTR is a true rine

BNR32 FTW... the R34 was ok.. but prefer the 180.. GTR>180>R34

woah u need help R33 wer nasty.. i knw a couple of mechs from nissan and i quote "the R33 was a failure to evolve from the R32.

lol cartoons are cool.. u talkin bout wangan highway...midnight thing.. u douche im buying a BNR32 next year for top end shit lol. silvia is for drift. i still believe that a lower power SR sil will cut up a R33 with more power.

would be 84 dont think u can get 64 on T3.. if u could then LOL

mark, u really need to shut ur trap for a bit hey.

alot of people are starting to get sick of ur ramble and bs and ur assumptions that uve based upon ur first hand knowledge of initial d and japoon cartoons.

ur constant rambling about ur sick sr's and silvias is starting to get over the top.

drop it for awhile or take it over to ns.com, kapish?

LOL mate there is nothing on the coast......

mm bad choice Bunta, The gt30/71 gt30/76 series turbos have problems with exhaust gasses escaping from The internal gate. Ive been there and seen prove. Im having the same issues with my gt30/71, im prolly going to upgrade to the gt30/76 but with the t3 flange and ex gate OR run the hks gt30/37 series. I never new gt30/76 with the t3 flange comes internal gated....

yeah its a pretty shit choice it was only making 300rwkw at 17psi with an AFR of 8:1

seriously though in my case I have had no troubles, i was seceptical about buying the turbo but is has surprised me with both power and response

hey shane guess how much i care about what a ginger pubed lanky v plate gtr owner thinks... not much..

ur car run yet...

no it doesnt.

look i prefer the SR over the 20 and 25 in standard form. the talk has drifted elsewher. and i was talking about gearing. and the torque was in reference to a side by side comparison.. who cares if it makes 5million nm at 9000rpm thru out the revrange the SR feels meatier.. and having near 200kg less makes a difference.. lets talk sunny coast

ok my friend lives at redcliffe i was ther a while back and went to some shitty beach kinda lame. anyway i think i might go see her again soon and go to aother beach any GOOD beaches u guys recommend..?

why would u compare S13 with a GTR.. ya n00b

u just angry cause u pumped all ur oil into ur head.

bring me specs of S13 vs R33 GTST cause this was the original debate. now chop chop before u spin a big end..

and LOL at a factory GTR doing 12.8 quarters. not that easy to do wth even a N1 std spec and since when did the GTR get ashitty 7500rpm limit?

Mate pure and simple, you're f**king moron. I haven't heard someone talk so much f**king bullshit in a long time, no wonder everyone is flaming you. You're the one comparing the SR vs RB, i'm replying. You say your GT-R rev'd to 9000rpm in whoretown, you're a lier, unless your motor was built, and it's no cheap exercise building a high reving rb26, then after building such a motor why would you go sell that car off, Idiot. Yes the quickest time for a factory GT-R is 12.8, if you searched for facts you'd have know this instead of talking dribble about the SR, which no one wants to hear, as others in this thread have already said aswell as me. When did the gt-r get a shitty 7500rpm rev limit? When nissan set it at that? Oh and seeing you're just a budle if information you wouldn't need me to tell you that the r33 and r34 gt-r have a 8000rpm rev limit.

Now here's a to do list for you.

a) pissoff to ns or boost cruising

b) stop posting dribble thats not true

c) stop posting in the sunny coast thread when you're from brissy

d) stop talking about the sr vs rb in this thread, this is for sunny coast people, go start another thread if you dare

e) grow up, you're acting like a child, as others have pointed it out

I think that everyone needs to calm down a lil and take ten deep breaths.

Not everyone is perfect with there records or information about things.

Yes i do agree the sr- rb -gtr debate has gone to far, and yes this is really only ment to be a sunshine coast thread,so can we please keep it that way and stope sticking sharp fkn bees up peoples bonnets.. the biggest man always walks away no matter how tall they stand.

Dynamix done anything to your gtr latley? Havent seen you on here much.

This thred is turning into shit.

So to change the topic, What would be the best mod to do to a factory skyline beside a 3 inch exaust all the way through?

Where is the closest Drag Strip and how much does it cost and what requirements are there to run??

Where is everyone going crusing this weekend?

(p.s the Sr - Rb - Gt-r debate is stupid it is personal preferance to the owner and based on mods on any car it could be faster than yours, you might see a starlet going wizzing passed you one day only to relise it had a supra motor in it)

just hang out with ur wang out. its soo much fun. srs are shit because they blow bearings all the time

rb25s are crap casue they blow rings/pistons all the time

rb26s are just crap cause there to hard to work on

and im the best cause i have a huge penis..matty u have to agree on the last one

ive owned every engine above, everytthing has pro and cons and there is no way u can compare a 4cyl 2 litre to a 6 2.5 or a 6 2.6 twin turbs

obviosly out of stock formation the 2.5 and the 2.6 both smash over the sr20 not sure bout the poxy rb20 tho ;)

oi shut up with the damn engine debate..... so gay youre all repeating yourselves.

rabit... i reccomend a fmic, i have a fmic and exhaust and make 255hp on 10psi... stock basically..

considering that can beat a stock gtr (206hp) its a good investment.

and other mods.... but not telling

    • I got back to Japan in January and was keen to get back on track as quickly as possible. Europe is god-awful for track accessibility (by comparison), so I picked up a first-gen GT86 in December just to have something I could jump into right away. The Skyline came over in a container this time and landed in early January. It was a bit battered after Europe, though—I refused to do anything beyond essential upkeep while it was over there. The clutch master cylinder gave out, and so did the power steering. I didn’t even bother changing the oil; it was the same stuff that went in just before I left Japan the first time. Naughty. Power steering parts would’ve cost double with shipping and taxes, so knowing I’d be heading back to Japan, I just postponed it and powered through the arm workout. It took a solid three months to get the car back on the road. Registration was a nightmare this time around. There were a bunch of BS fees to navigate, and sourcing parts was a headache. I needed stock seats for shaken, mistakenly blew 34k JPY on some ENR34 seats—which, of course, didn’t fit—then ended up having the car’s technical sheet amended to register it as a two-seater with the Brides. Then there’s the GT86. Amazing car. Does everything I want it to do. Parts are cheap, easy to find, and I don’t care what anyone says—it’s super rewarding to drive. I’ve done a few basic mods: diff ratio, coilovers, discs, pads, seat, etc. It already had a new exhaust manifold and the 180kph limiter removed, so I assume it’s running some kind of map. I’ve just been thrashing it at the track non-stop—mostly Fuji Speedway now, since I need something with higher speed after all that autobahn time. The wheels on the R34 always pissed me off—too big, and it was a nightmare getting tires to fit properly under the arches. So I threw in the towel and bought something that fits better. Looks way cleaner too (at least to me)—less hotboy, less attention-seeking. Still an R34, though. Now for future plans. There are a few things still outstanding with the car. First up, the rear subframe needs an overhaul—that’s priority one. Next, I need to figure out an engine rebuild plan. No timeline yet, but I want to keep it economical—not cutting corners, just not throwing tens of thousands at a mechanic I can barely communicate with. And finally, paint. Plus a bit of tidying up here and there.
    • Nope, needed to clearance under the bar a little with a heat gun, a 1/2" extension as the "clearancer", and big hammer, I was aware of this from the onset, they fit a 2.0 with this intake no problems, but, the 2.5 is around 15mm taller than a 2.0, so "clearancing" was required  It "just" touched when test fitting, now, I have about 10mm of clearance  You cannot see where it was done, and so far, there's no contact when giving it the beans Happy days
    • It's been a while since I've updated this thread. The last year (and some) has been very hectic. In the second-half of 2024 I took the R34 on a trip through Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland - it was f*cking great. I got a little annoyed with the attention the car was getting around Europe and really didn't drive it that much. I could barely work on the car since I was living in an inner-city apartment (with underground parking). During the trip, the car lost power steering in France - split hose - and I ended up driving around 4,000kms with no power steering.  There were a few Nurburgring trips here and there, but in total the R34 amassed just shy of 7,000kms on European roads. Long story short, I broke up with the reason I was transferred to Europe for and requested to be moved back to Japan. The E90, loved it. It was a sunk cost of around EUR 10,000 and I sold it to a friend for EUR 1,500 just to get rid of it quickly. Trust me, moving countries f*cking sucks and I could not be bothered to be as methodical as I was the first time around.
    • I assume clearances were all a-okay?
