do you know how to take the lense and crap off? im pretty sure its on the inside because i have tried to clean the outside but has not helped anything else

It wont actually come off... I think you would break it trying to do that. Tried of my old 33 to clean up the lights and it didnt come apart.... So hope that will save you some time...

Um btw... Magquires "PLASTIX" will clean up ur head lights (Correct me if i am wrong Mitch)....worked on my 34...

What you up to? if ur bored i'll come hang out with you....nothing to do atm :P

The clear casing on the 33 headlights do come off... its a huge hassle though, from memory you have to unscrew both and take them off the car completely, then use a heat gun (carefully!!) to soften the plastic between the black casing and the clear plastic so that you can seperate the two.. you have a chance of breaking or ruining them if they are not done properllllly. but if it is the moisture on the inside its probably worth it.

As Chris said above 'Meguiars Plastx' is awesome stuff, got my headlights clear as, and got that yellow tinge outta them. About $25ish but worth it for sure, may have to order it in like i did though.

meh i gave up after taking the headlight off the car. call me a lazy ass. ended up washing my car instead and fixing the internet

ah well i am at least going out tonight. only noosa but is anyone else gonna be out?

welll that unipol stuff was only like $10 a tube at all abrasive's in kayleigh drive maroochydore. does just a good job but for less then half what u would probably pay for the meguir's stuff. anyway , i probably wouldnt separate the lenses off ya headlight's, risky job i reckon, considering u might stuff them completely. then u are up for a new set anyway. went to the drags tonight, any guess's what times i got outta my stock 33 with 3" turbo back exhuast, HD clutch, suspension & 7psi? i was surprised being my first time out and all.

The way you drive daz... an 18.5 @ 76mph with a 3.2 sec 60"

close but no cigar lol

13.931 @ 100.02 MPH, 2.1 sec 60" so technically speaking i got a 13 sec car ha ha,

but for my first time out i was hell stoked with the times i got, i thought i did pretty well actually with an almost stock car. still running 7psi aswell.

Good time for the mods. 60ft is very good for a manual car as well. What suspension and tyres?

thanks chris. i have got bilstein suspension all round with (sydneykid set up) off this forum, and i was running federal 595 tyres 255 rear and 235 fronts, just what i normally run on the streets, no burnouts bcoz i needed my tyres for road use as the car is a daily.i got other rims im goin to fit up with some race rubber for later on when i go down next time i think. get some semi's or something like that.

thats an awsome time dazza to what you have or more to the point havent done to your car.

yeah well thats it aye, thats my plan i told ya i wanted to run the car in its stock form now see what i can get before i start with mods, now i got a good base time to go off. power isnt everything when it comes to racing, it all comes down to how u can get your car off the line for the first 60ft, then the rest will work it self out i think.

:( I was in Fridays car park last night and a fight broke out and people ended up on my bonnet and cracked my front bar :P:) :)

thats pretty shithouse man. but i would never park my car in the car park there at night drunken ppl + nice cars = trouble

park away and walk there if u have to much safer. just pick a spot u are happy with or just leave your car at home and bus it or cab it in. much better.

fights... i got into one last night :( jealous girls are annoying to deal with. and she then got landed with a fine for being underage in a club when the undercover police broke our fight up and asked for id.

thats wat i like to see, a lil bit of agression, whether it is in a fight or not ;)

Saw you cruising through m'dore (well coming off the highway towards m'dore), nice car mate :)

    • Fark what are the changes of that snapping like that, clean. Nek minnit, custom radiator goes in, with built in oil cooler like those discontinued PWR ones from yesterdeacades ago
    • I thought I'd do a write up on an auto transmission fluid change for a the nissan 7 speed Automatic. At some stage the genius engineers decided that the fluid in the trans was "for the life of the transmission", (which seems kind of self supporting to me) and removed the dip stick and fill tube (funnily enough there is still a casting for it). Anyway, for this job you do need 2 specialist tools in addition to regular hand tools, jack and good chassis stands. You need a way to pump fluid up to the transmission; I got one of these but there are plenty of other options: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/364584087070 Don't trust the generic listing though, it does not come with the required adapter for the Nissan 7 Speed. You need one of these, can't do the job without it: https://navarapart.com.au/product/genuine-nissan-patrol-y62-d23-np300-navara-re7-dipstick-fill-connector1 You need a heap of compatible transmission oil. Could be Nissan, could be anything else rated for Nissan Matic S. You need at least 10 litres, I had 15 to give it a better flush... Also, you need some biiig oil catch trays, at least one of these, or bigger if possible (volume was fine, size was very marginal): https://autobarn.com.au/ab/Autobarn-Category/Tools-%26-Garage/Specialty-Tools/Oil-Service/Garage-Tough-Oil-Drain-Pan-Black-16L---GT1068/p/TO03191 Finally, a measuring jug is very useful if your pump does not have volumes marked on it, I got a 6l one: https://www.repco.com.au/oils-fluids/fluid-accessories/measuring-jugs/penrite-measuring-jug-6l-pmj006/p/A5322648 Oh, and gloves.....this stuff is horrible (not as bad as diff oil, but getting there) ....First, jack up your car.....
    • So I mentioned the apprentice, @LachyK helped take the bonnet off. We just undid the nuts on the hinges and unclipped the gas struts, then pulled the bonnet back a little as the front was catching on the front bar.  I had a good look at everything today and have removed the rams, repaired/reset the hinges and bolted it back together like it never happened. I'll do a separate write up on the repair, and I also removed the poppers from the Fuga today too to save grief down the road.....as said above it is at least $5k to repair retail. I'm also happier about my ability to prepare a race car, and less happy about Nis-nault's engineering (I can hear @GTSBoy sAfrican Americaning) because the top hose of the radiator didn't slip off.......it snapped clean off. By practice I put the hose clamp hard up against the flare on a neck to make it least likely to ever move (thanks @Neil!). I guess that puts a little more pressure on the end of the pipe as it is further away from the rad, but still, that is pretty shit. I've put it back on for now as there was a fair bit of neck still there, but obviously there is no lip on the neck any more so I don't think I'll track it again until I have a new rad. Speaking of which....more research required. It looks like Koyo makes a standard size radiator in ally which I'll grab in the meantime, but I really want something thicker so might have to go custom in the medium term (ouch) Coolant still needs a refill and I have the pressure tester on it over night, but other than a wash down of the engine bay it seems alright. And @MBS206 noted something noisy on the front of the engine and I think I agree....time for a new accessory belt and tensioners I think.
    • our good friends at nismo make a diff for it, I have one (and a spare housing to put the centre in) on the way. https://www.nismo.co.jp/products/web_catalogue/lsd/mechanical_lsd_v37.html AMS also make a helical one, but I prefer mechanical for track use in 2wd (I do run a quaife in the front, but not rear of the R32)
