its expensive. its 120 for 24 hours plus 150 deposit. id love the trailer for a few days so i can load the car on thursday night so i just hook it up and drive away friday and the return it saturday. i just dont wanna fork out 3 days trailer hire when it just sits there for most of it.

They are pretty easy to wire in, and it should have a pretty straight forward wiring diagram to help you out too. Helps if you have a test light to check for your constant power, accessory power and earth though...

Hey everyone the babys back on the road soon..

just got the 2nd radiator today.. after the gearbox replacement got a weeks driving in b4 it shat itself

and i have a carbon fibre hood for sale too!

bloody department of trans.. (F**KERS!)

is anyone good at installing head units, i basically just need mine wired up, ive installed it into the single din, im just not sure on the wiring...

i petty sure you can buy an plug that plugs straight into the old loom from supercheap. then its just a matter of connecting the plug you bought with the plug on the new head unit. just connect the ires basiclly.

Hey guys looking for some Sunny Coast knowledge here. Recently got my P's and I want to finally do some work on my car. Its a stock R33 with only some pretty average rims. At the moment I have around $4.5k to spend on it. I got $800 rego due soon so i'd make it around 3.8k I was wondering if anyone could point me to a panel beater or similar that could either fit a bodykit and make the paint look new again or simply fit the bodykit and respray the car in the same colour? Anyone think it would be possible to get it done for around the 2-3k mark? Kits costing me $900 from DMD who want 2.6k in total to fit and colour code it, no fixing of paint elsewhere.

Just after opinions.

PS please don't mention its a GTS and why waste my money etc as i'll be driving it for 3years and the bodykits really the only mod i'm going to do as the stock one depresses me. Once i'm off my p's i'll get what I can for it and buy a turbo or a GTR if I can scrape the money together.

yuukkk GTIR lol.

wats actual wrong with the body work? is the body kit a different colour or sumshit?

And kitwalker i would say marty, everyone of my mates with performance/import cars get their work done there and I've spoken to him a number of times about some things concerning my 32 and he is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

I'm not sure, for the price u have quoted on here, u might get kit installed and have it painted but for a full respray you'll find it alot more expensive then that unless you know somebody who will do you mates rates. If your paint is still in good condition and isnt faded or clear coat peeling or anything, id advise for you to go get a meguirs' clay bar and quik detailer kit and use that on your paint, i recently did it on a car and it came up 100 times better, then i did a polish like normal on the car all over. it takes a full day when u first do it but its wrth the results for your efforts. P.S. (dont use the clay bar directly on your paint work without lubricating first with quik detailer before you rub the paint.)

u got any interested buyers for your 33 yet daz?

EDIT: i just relised u got a GTR :D

what colour is it?? Im ganna drive past that place where u work and check it out haha

    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
