ash i jus looked up on the net, a few that are vacant for the 1 - 3 of dec which is in the middle of schoolies. 150p/n and six to 8 of us going. So yeah should b sweet. But a 3 - 5 min drive from the pier. Sounds reasonable?

Hope petrol wont b much of a concern, 300 or so km to a tank :)

Car also comes off the road after schoolies and hopefully back on before christmas.

SO WHO ELSE HAS BOOKED A HOUSE? CARE TO HAVE A HOUSEMATE :(

yeah they usually start asking questions about who and how old...when I got a house in rye for 16 ppl (HUGEEEEE house called MOONAH RIDGE) they didn't mind a group of young people...although had some mates go the following year and lose their $1000 bond and the owners wouldn't let me hire it again the year after that heh

usually they have 1week minimums

    • Yeah I made that post way too early, sorry I must have assumed it was bad because it's a 20+ year old thrashed shitbox lol. It was just a loose exhaust bolt.
    • Like others have said, drop the power to give your drivetrain a % of reliability until you can up the drivetrain reliability  It isn't rocket science, build power to the weakest link with a % of safety Whilst upping the the reliability of the drive train is costly, there's no point in having the engine make big power if it keeps eating the drivetrain....ask me how I know, I had the tow truck on speed dial for a few years, and I spent huge amounts of money fixing issues and breakages that really would have been cheaper in the long run if I did it right the first time Me, I like a nice sized fudge factor, that keeps me off the tow truck
    • I don't understand what the issue is with, turn the boost down and start saving $$.  As soon as you can afford the supporting mods, turn the boost back up.  If the car is running fine, enjoy it. Turning the boost down isn't going to kill you.
