How can I tell its a RB35 Turbo

Recommended Posts

Guest lextreme

Hello,

Greeting from the friendly country of the United States. I brought two RB25 turbos from a friend who import them from Thailand. Anway, he told me they are from the Nissan Skyline RB25. The first set of turbos i got broke on me. The first set have 1.75" compressor outlet and spool up very quick.

The second set of turbos i got from him also from the Skyline cars, but it has 2.0" compressor outlet. The question is, which car are my turbos from? RB25 or something else? The second set of turbos with 2.0" outlet spool slightly slower.

Anyone can help would be greatly appreciated.

the one you have now describe the rb 25 turbo also it should not have a hole for the line going to the waste gate actuator on the compressor housing. they are rated @ 280-300 hp each there are no comprssor map for them the are a hitachi turbo which is a copy of a garret t28 with a t3 flange

this is what they look like note the numbers on the comprssor housing

My built engine can handle much more than 600-640 flywheel HP. Anyone know where i can get information on direct upgrade to the T3? I have read somewhere in Australia ( I think its www.turbonetics.com.au) have an upgrade turbo for the RB25. Its capable of handling 450 wrhp.
