Matt Spry down on the goldcoast... $200/hr.

Allstar on the northside... $125/hr

These would be the only 2 I'd recommend based on there experience with PowerFC's and other ECU's.

But whatever tunner you use... make sure they will tune it to the ecu you have.

Richard at Allstar is very good. I use him exclusively. His prices are good and he now has all the software for ALL Power FC's.

He is a Haltech dealer and can tune any ECU.

Tell him Dave sent you and he may give you a discount. Even bigger discount for SAU Qld members. He will ask to see your membership card so don't try and con him!!

my skyline was tuned there (101 motorcafe), then the car moved interstate and they wanted $1000 for the code so I could retune her up here in darwin.

motec, 10sec_rx7, our w/shop up here and 33,000+ readers on a pf thread all know about it, and wont be going to 101. zoom, hot4s, perth street cars, race and another one... I have forgotten for the moment were going to do a write up about it.

As i often go Street drifting with Harry From 101, i can say they are a great bunch, definately know there gear. but its little things like Phee has encountered which rupture there good name. making money anyway possible is there attitude

No dis-respect to them, there workmanship. its just there ethics that are there downfall in my perspective.

Cool, thanks for all the places/numbers im in process now of ringhing the guys up and arranging times/prices etc... Juat a couple places that no one mentioned bob ramano and APC at springwood, these guys no good??? Donr wanna give places bad name, but bob ramano dudes seemed a litle arrogant on the phone, but it seems alot car places are...

OMG i went there about tuning my car... his son (cant remember his name) is the biggest tosser man so i know what ur saying, they specialise in WRX and holdens man, for a nissan take it to Godzilla Motorsport.

i would also recommend richo from all star, but it all does depend on which ecu you have and how far you wanna travel. PITS tuned a friends 33 after numerous other workshops stuffed it up.

I Actually use Bob as my only mechanic... he and his son chris do a great job on my car, he does sound arrogant sum times but thats coss he's so busy and his maner of speaking is quiet short and to the piont.

The only bad thing about him is that he wont let your car go on the dyno unless it is fully checked out by him, not bad prices charges me $99/hr for Dyno time. he handels many difrent cars but he does specialise in WRX and FORDS.... Chris is pretty good on the tuning but he has this problem about trying to squeez the most out of your tune, he just wont do it.

any way sorry about the ranting... consider Bob.....

But i would also Highly recomend Mercury MotorSports, they really do know what they are doing, have alot for friends go there. Open on Saturday as well!!!

matty spry at pits...

He tuned my SR20 silvia and its running a reliable 11.1@131mph, going back for a bit of an angry tune in search of 10s...

I have been going to him ever since i got my car, he has helped me out from day 1 when my car had a simple T28 setup, to my now setup with a full built motor and larger turbo.

mercury orginally tuned my car, was ok

much happier with the retune matty spry did

just not that convenient driving down the coast to get it done, but definately worth the extra cash

Charlies Motors @ Wollongabba. They tune our racecar...rb30det making...sorry was making 365rwkws no problems. Charlie and Dave, father and son team, you cant go wrong with family businesses, i know cause im in one also haha. The old man there used to race cars and bikes in all sorts so they know there way around race setups. They are fairly priced and tune spot on. They are right into the drift stuff now also, theres a few drift cars there every bloudy week.

+1 for them from me.

We jumped from Mercury to Charlies...But id give a +1 for Matty also. I know heaps of guys at the track who goto him and cant recommend him enough. -1 for MM :)

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
