Ok guys Ive had my Skyline for nearly a year now. Just need a little help on next mod.

So far the mod lists is as followed:

Full 3inch twin dump, high flow cat and cat back exhaust.

Just Jap FMIC

Boost set at 11psi

Bosch 040 pump

POD

Thats about it.

Now what would you guys recommend my next mod to be? I was thinking Power FC.

With a Power fc what power gains would I be expecting with the above mods.

Anyone got before and after dyno sheets?

Thanks.

Absolutley Power FC.

I've nearly the same mods as you.

12psi..though. (no big deal)

The mid range of the Power FC is HEAPS better than standard.

A more enjoyable/better overall drive than any other mod.

I waited nearly 3 years before getting it installed....including over a year of buying it and storing it in the cupboard.

What an idiot.

Also, next mods you get need a new ECU anyway so just do this one now.

so overall.....Top output should be better, but for me, the midrange was the best bit.

You will NOT be dissapointed.

You have all the right mods to suppport it...Just Do It

adjustable cam gear is only if ur chasing the very last kilowatt

it will maybe give u 5rwkw max at top end and very little midrange

the thing is a lot of time has to be spent on the dyno setting it up

first u have to adjust overlap, then retard/advance each cam independantly, then check out the overlap again...see what i mean - thats a lot of dyno hours (2 at least)

isnt it generaly safe to assume a min of 15% gain over std ecu? i have basicaly same mods except upgraded turbo on my r32 rb20. ive just orderd a pfc and i have cam gears, i would suggest for the sake of it purchase a cheap exhaust cam gear and dial it all in on the dyno at the same time, thats my plan and contrary to the previous post depending on how you set em up, i would expect a slight but cost effective mid range gain...

it will make a diff when matched to the right mods

im just remebering an article on a engine build up that had lots of work already done and cam gears only really gave top end, not much midrange

if u get diff cams, thats a greater diff - but prob not in ur price range :)

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
