G'day Megs how are you mate?

Yeah still going good. Fuel pump is extremely lazy though so I am limited to 10psi at the moment. Can wait to wind it to 13psi!!!Bought a SAFC today (old one) for $140. Are they hard to hook up at all?

Do you need to run aftermarket fuel regulator or can you use the stock one?

13psi?? cmon i wonah see 16psi :D

youre better off getting a bosch 910 i reckon. you dont need a regulator but an SAFC would be good if the fuel map is thrown out by the pump

so put on the pump, go to the dyno and check the AF. if its runnin hell rich invest in some sort of fuel controller

Its alright for you to say 16psi Adam cause you have a bloody big T04 dont you :D

Too late now on the pump, but I stick with my decision.Im slowly turning my GTS into a GTR.

I have the following so far;

GTR suspension

GTR cd stacker

Fuel Pump

I dont have to far to go before I put the GTR badge on hahahahaha

Hey Ben,

your list of upgrades should do the trick.

My old car had a GTR fuel pump, ECU and a adj fuel reg is also a good idea for your car.

13psi is sensible as standard injectors in my old car ran lean at 1 bar over 6000rpm.

I'm sure your next step will be bigger cams, injectors, adj cam timing gears and 1.2 bar of boost should make your car an absolute weapon....

its a nice change to see someone slowly build up their car sensibly with well thought out mods...... good luck dude..

hahahaha Christian beats himself hahahahaha

Akira I'm not paying anyone to touch my bloody car. It feels so much more rewarding when you spank a new v8 or a rexy with your own blood sweat and tears and more blood and some more tears and a little more blood and some..... you get the picture.

    • Am I correct in assuming that the R35's are getting the classic skyline haircut off the odometer?  Quick search on carsales, there are 33 08 and 09 GTR's for sale, only 2 of them have more then 100,000km's on them (116,075 and 110,000 respectively).  And somehow there are about 25 for sale with around 60,000kms? Looks like the classic skyline haircut to me =/
    • @Stringycheese  Have you only gone to the one blue slip workshop?  There will be a heap of them where ever you live, good odds that the next place you go to will pass the car.  Unfortunately (or fortunately?) every blue slip / engineering workshop will be different and will be happy passing or failing different things - despite working from the same set of rules. It's kinda like 2 lawyers arguing over a piece of legislation, each saying their interpretation is correct. Might seem strange that this happens when it comes to getting a modified car passed, but this is very much a thing. A big part of the game is finding an engineer / workshop that is on the same page as you.
    • Bah. I daily mine. ~60km per work day, 10-12 thousand km per year. What's the point of having a dirty old Datto and leaving it in the shed. It needs to be driven and enjoyed while the govco allows us to do so. It will only be a few years before we're forbidden to even start up internal combustion engines.
    • Judging by that spring perch and the normal looking spring on it - not a coilover. Well.... it is a coilover, just a stock format coilover, rather than what everyone calls a coilover.
    • Yes it is. We get stock from Nismo directly. I'm happy to take photos/video of it as proof before I ship it with timestamps or whathaveyou.
