Figure this bad boy may be worth its own thread - 98 RWD stagea - with a 34GTR front...? think they wouldve gone with a manual RS-Four V at least, to be spending that much money on it...

Is it worth the $32k????

Very nice for the price hey....

Yeah it's cheap but needs to be, suspension has to be back to stock for compliance and all the plumbing changed back to original too.

Wonder how hard it's been driven?

This car could be really hard to comply, if not impossible. $32k.... you've got to be kidding. you can get a nice original RS 260 for that!

Who knows about the engineering on this.... someone will probably buy it, good luck! Looks don't really amount to much, anyone of our cars could look as good or better. For a 98 25t RSV its an $18,000 car with a front end and kit. I wouldn't touch it with yours!!

Actually makes me wonder why they put this shit on there, this car has to have the seats replaced, the brakes replaced, possibly wheels. It's just a faker, and to advertise it as something special is a joke. someone is likely to get burned on it.

Aftermarket suspension Non compliable

Conversion done with genuine R34 GTR parts:

R34 GTR alloy wheels Non compliable

R34 GTR Brembo brakes Non compliable

R34 GTR front seats Non compliable

R34 GTR radiator support Non compliable

R34 GTR headlights Non compliable

R34 GTR front bumper Non compliable

R34 GTR bonnet Non compliable

Dont take my word ask a compliance workshop. So after all that what's it really worth?

GOOD THREAD THOUGH

......... think they wouldve gone with a manual RS-Four V at least ........

Only one Manual "RS Four V" I know of is mine. Stagea Manuals are "RS Four S"

And it's nice looking but good luck on compliance, and just ask how much Darrin has spent on his project to get an idea of costings.

I'd rather a 260RS for that price but!

This is wildcat here using hubbys account opps..

Have to disagree with a few comments made....changing suspension back to stock isnt hard for compliance i went through that with mine..and its not bad at all..you either borrow some or you hire it for the compliance not that bloody hard at all  Everything else i agree Yes would be a pain in the ass but if someone loves it that much then good luck to them...looks like a very fancy car and to me does look like something special...i would LOVE to be an owner of 34GTR front.....i also love this white one..if i didnt have my baby i would be very interested in it

if you find a compliance workshop willing ot risk their license you could bring the car pretty easily, I'm guessing that why they ask you to call if your interested in purchasing. If you were willing to return it to stock and had the parts free to borrow it would be an ok deal.

What about me?

If i didnt have my car already, that white one would be mine. Id put a stereo in, and thats probably it. Looks awesome as it is. and for thess (lots less) than half the price of the 34 faced S2.... its a winner.

    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
