R32 Gtr Gearbox Reverse Light

GDay, my Stagea has an R32 GTR gearbox in it, and when it was installed, (long before I bought the vehicle) the reverse lights were not wired in.

So I am looking at doing a lot of work on it during the xmas break at a mates dad's workshop whom has a hoist and I have been told all I need to do is run wires from the gearbox to the reverse lights.

Can someone confirm/deny this and also direct me to where I will need to run wires from on the gearbox please?

I have searched but havent found any info specifically on the reverse light for the gearbox.

there are two switches screwed into the drivers side of the gearbox....from memory the reverse is the rear one...wire it up to that and it should work if all else is ok.

Sweet thanks for the info Do I need a special plug to hook into the gearbox? I wouldnt have a clue if it has one or not, and doing the work on a weekend so doubt any wreckers will be open to try and get one if I do.

the reverse swith is the one thats the most forward. ie: closer to the engine.

the other one is the neutal switch.
