Agree with everyone about the bar and bonnet, very nice indeed.

I'm having a LOT of trouble finding a bumper that I like 100% and is available somewhere in Oz...

Too bad I have no fiberglassing skills so I could make/mod my own 'ideal' bumper :D

Got my twin dump pipe from these guys... The said that there twin tips have same flow as there cannon and look at there power figures...

Good quality and price give them a look http://www.cesracing.com.au/products/

Nice. So thats a 3" system yeah? Looks like they don't make 'em for 3.5"?

Really? Is it that bad? Wait what shit out of my car.. the babyseat?

ahahahaha

dump it = lower it

nah it looks good but just sayin it'd look better sitting lower and wingless. as all 4 doors should be!

Omg.. feel like such a dud..

I would ... not sure if I'm ready to get rid of the wing.. and I may lower it.. I will sit and ponder..

btw nice car.. I like the paint job.. I'm looking to get mine resprayed burple..

Cheers for the advice!

btw why do people hate wings so much?

Is your car non turbo and was advertised on ebay like 2-3 months ago?

BTW: love the wing think its either a uras original or a knock off my only suggestion would be to get lower mounting brackets so it sits lower on the boot then won't look so outta place. If you added the wing where'd you get it from and price please

alloo,

Had it for just over a year now.. but it was bought on ebay, wing and all.. so i'm not sure where he got the wing from.

It's NA tiptronic.

Thanks for your thoughts.. I agree about the wing, I think it gives it some character... I know some people hate it but each to their own!

LOL,... what a classic. :action-smiley-069:

You should definately change to slimline plates too, it can make such a big difference to the overall look of your car.

I used to have the yellow NSW plates on a black car a few years ago, and that looked absolutely hideous.

Ah, East Bear strikes again... all the bumpers I like seem to be from them.

Naturally they are bloody expensive...

Thanks for the info!

Hahaha yes I know I know... my fiance's blokey as so you'd think I'd have picked it up...

Yeh looking to change the number plates too.. just haven't got around to it.. 3 kids under the age of 5.. it ain't easy. But first thing's first - I want to respray the car then I'll look at changing the plates.. it'll be a while

You see for me it's like bunk bed and clothes for the kids or respray the car and other mods for me... I'm a mother first car enthusiast second.. *sigh*

That's the way all good mother's are, maternal instinct kicks in and children come first.

However, you could always consider the fact you have "4" kids,...... including the skyline, which just needs a little more love and attention than the others... lol.

Just explain to the kids that their "big brother" needs new clothes (paintjob) first, and that they will just have to be naked for the next few months, and in terms of the bunkbed, they can just sleep on "big brother's" lap (aka the backseat).

    • Hi all,   long time listener, first time caller   i was wondering if anyone can help me identify a transistor on the climate control unit board that decided to fry itself   I've circled it in the attached photo   any help would be appreciated
    • I mean, I got two VASS engineers to refuse to cert my own coilovers stating those very laws. Appendix B makes it pretty clear what it considers 'Variable Suspension' to be. In my lived experience they can't certify something that isn't actually in the list as something that requires certification. In the VASS engineering checklist they have to complete (LS3/NCOP11) and sign on there is nothing there. All the references inside NCOP11 state that if it's variable by the driver that height needs to maintain 100mm while the car is in motion. It states the car is lowered lowering blocks and other types of things are acceptable. Dialling out a shock is about as 'user adjustable' as changing any other suspension component lol. I wanted to have it signed off to dissuade HWP and RWC testers to state the suspension is legal to avoid having this discussion with them. The real problem is that Police and RWC/Pink/Blue slip people will say it needs engineering, and the engineers will state it doesn't need engineering. It is hugely irritating when aforementioned people get all "i know the rules mate feck off" when they don't, and the actual engineers are pleasant as all hell and do know the rules. Cars failing RWC for things that aren't listed in the RWC requirements is another thing here entirely!
    • I don't. I mean, mine's not a GTR, but it is a 32 with a lot of GTR stuff on it. But regardless, I typically buy from local suppliers. Getting stuff from Japan is seldom worth the pain. Buying from RHDJapan usually ends up in the final total of your basket being about double what you thought it would be, after all the bullshit fees and such are added on.
    • The hydrocarbon component of E10 can be shittier, and is in fact, shittier, than that used in normal 91RON fuel. That's because the octane boost provided by the ethanol allows them to use stuff that doesn't make the grade without the help. The 1c/L saving typically available on E10 is going to be massively overridden by the increased consumption caused by the ethanol and the crappier HC (ie the HCs will be less dense, meaning that there will definitely be less energy per unit volume than for more dense HCs). That is one of the reasons why P98 will return better fuel consumption than 91 does, even with the ignition timing completely fixed. There is more energy per unit volume because the HCs used in 98 are higher density than in the lawnmower fuel.
    • No, I'd suggest that that is the checklist for pneumatic/hydraulic adjustable systems. I would say, based on my years of reading and complying with Australian Standards and similar regulations, that the narrow interpretation of Clause 3.2 b would be the preferred/expected/intended one, by the author, and those using the standard. Wishful thinking need not apply.
