ok yeah i see what you mean.. still confuses me a bit lol With 18's like yours ive seen is the perfect size and fitment. Ive spoken to a lot of other guys that are running 19 and there all 10.5+22 and look great, where all the guys running 19's.. +12 are having scrubbing issues.

Also have a look at the blue and white pic together and what seems to look like the same front bar the white one has these two bumps/fangs below the gtr badge. Is it only the original ones that have that and the ones without are fake?

not the exact same bar. The bayside blue car has an S-tune front bar (i think)

and KSR has a Z-tune style replica bar. But as someone else said, the genuine Z-tune bars don't have the little 'fang' thingos

alot of benifets running 18s imo.. cheaper tyres, can run wider tyres and more sidewall to protect expensive wheels! its all personal preference though, 19s do look great though!

i know god speed runs 19x10.5 +15 with 275s, no scrubbing issues i believe but may need to clarify with him.

Yeah i agree with you with all the benefits of 18's, got to be careful running 19's with a low profile. Ive seen some +15 and they look a bit to chunky for my liking. I guess what I want to know is whether the 19x10.5+22 are a bit more wider in the guard than an 18x9.5+12 or do they just cancel each other out with the different offset size

http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=275&aspect=30&diameter=19&wheelwidth=10.5&offset=22&width2=265&aspect2=35&diameter2=18&wheelwidth2=9.5&offset2=12&Submit=Submit

that might help answer your question? its a much of a muchness.. the 10.5s will stick out a tiny bit more but the tyres wont be as flush, so the 9.5s could appear more flush..

If you look at my pic of my old one I was running 18x10.5s with a 275 and decent profile. If I dropped my bilsteins down more would of still been no issues what so ever. I had mine set up for more perfomance rather then looks though.

19s I dont know, for street and looks yeah but for driving hard and track day's 18s all the way. Cheaper tyres more side wall.

18s with massive dish look almost the same size as a dished 19 anyway IMO.

^ but your car is super high. Most people run coilovers and lowered so running that size tyre looks like it would be an issue on a lowered car especially without rolled guards.

Nah mate mine sits low now, the front splitter is pretty much bang on 100mm off the ground. The rear photo shot is decieving as its on an angle the suspension stroke is extended. Will get some better pics next week.

Cheers thanks for your help man! That link cleared things up for me

Yeah ill be keeping the 18's for track. The main reason why I want to go with 19's is for street and looks and that way I can run some decent semis on the 18's

.

I'm pretty sure they are +22 offset. With +12 I would struggle even more lol

What profile tyres? I had dramas when I had the same size wheels with 275/35, changed to 30 profile and was all good.. Although mine is not as low as yours..

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
