hey there,

would the following size and offset (9.5inch 15+) fit the rears of a r32 gtst? would stretching the tyres abit give that of a clearance?

or must i just roll/flare the guards (not very willing to cause flaring might crack the paint)

cheers dave

  • 5 weeks later...

mate i have 19 x 9.5 wide wheels on my r32, with 275s and they fit VERY snug.

I needed some guard rolling to be done as they kept scraping the tyres cause it was as low as poss (but only the tyres got scrubed as i have extremely stiff c/o sus).

the offset was 18+ (i think) and they fit exactly under the guard!!

Good Luck,

Peter.

Iv got Beer B5 rims under my 32. 18*9.5 with the same sorta offset. They stuck out the gaurd about an inch. Mind you i do have coil overs so the car is quite low as wll. But i flared the gaurds to suit the rims and and stretched over 235 tires over them. Looks awsome now, but was a lota hassle. Also had to get gtr front gaurds because the front rims were the same size. Body kit had to be reshaped whole car had to be re painted. Looks sick now though. LOL.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
