I am staying in London at the moment and I saw a dealer that sells Skylines! He has two R33 GTRs in there for £20,000!

I am waiting till they open to have a look at them!

How anyone here could afford to drive one is beyond me. Petrol cost 80p a litre!

Cheers,

James.

That was my point!

However in England there is a big difference between rich and poor, and I am told some fairly affluent people drive Skylines here!

Thing is they are damn quick cars when you are racing 2 litre golfs off the lights! :)

I got 300k out of half a tank, but this was mostly highway driving!

Those would have to be fairly clean, low km 33 GTR's for the price IMO. Have seen them for much closer to $40k in Oz.

England was the only country outside of Japan where the GTR was regularly exported to by Nissan (this will change with future models I believe). Aside from small volume one-offs like Australia's 500 R32 GTRs.

I don't think England got any GTS-t's, which would explain why GTRs are the predominant model Skyline over there.

The UK got limited numbers of 33 GT-R's and a fair few 34 GT-R's.

Both GT-R's were tested by Jeremy Clarkson/Tiff Needell - they were both *incredibly* impressed by them - of course, how can it be any other way with the acceleration, handling and 'driftiness' of both car and drivers.

We only got 100 of the '91 32 GT-R (correct me if I'm wrong).

All of the Aust. and UK models have minor differences with the Jap. spec. cars.

Here's a few pics of them. I spoke to the dealer yesterday. Apparently they were stolen from Japan and got picked up by the Police here in England. The dealer bought them from a Police auction.

They are stock as by the way!

Except for the AVS wheels of course...

I was just speaking to the misses the other day about having twins...nice!

Yep, 100 for sale to the public @ A$110,000 each! Though 110 cars were actually shipped over, 10 of them were used for testing and media relations etc...

I actually saw one the other day, well it had the Oz spec rear end etc so it could have been, was in mint condition too ;)

I have seen these roadtest vidz, downloaded from net, some can be found HERE

I haven't seen any R34s yet. Actually I havent seen any R33s on the road either! I saw a dude in a Supra cruising through Amersham this morning with the stereo up and the subs pumping! :P

I wish I had my car here!!! :P

:burnout:

    • Absolutely could be. I collected data logs from when the O2 sensor was still out and also after I had replaced it so will try to compare them. Pretty confident that the affect is lowered with the new sensor, will check logs at the same RPMs/conditions.

    • thanks for the advice on the box... i was thinking the 6 speed was better for cruising on the highway but on closer inspection and comparison the Rb 5 speed box was not too different...  So the choice is going to be the RB25 box... if I can save up and find one at the right price
    • Thanks Matt, yes that's what i am aiming for. Just going to apply the right voltage and grounds to the dash connector. Hence my search for these pins... any chance you know if these pins are in the same spot as the ones on the S15 Dash connector? as mentioned above on page 8?
    • Yes, unfortunately that's the one. Signal was noisy to begin with; after driving once and looking back at the logs I saw pressure constantly swinging between 0-200psi, or staying at 0 randomly for a few seconds. There's a lot of good sensors that share the same look and feel, so don't presume they're all bad. I bought mine for 20$ off Amazon and I should have read the reviews prior, as it's clear they're junk.  I purchased a lowdollerr motorsports sensor.
