In the process of my respray and now I am chasing a front screen. Does anyone know of any after market front screens that have the Radio Ariel built in??? (Here in WA)

1200 big ones from Nissan, just wondering if anyone knows where to get one

Cheers

Mike

I've had mine replaced and was told unless genuine Nissan you cant get one with ariel.

Having said that I haven't really noticed any reduction in reception without one!

Are you going for genuine seals or generic ones?

Whole car is being fitted with new genuine seals all round.

Car will look like new once done. Was trying to keep it 95 % stock looking, keeping the standard screen was the plan....

Oh and Tom, no rust anywhere, car has been stripped to bare metal all round... fully prepped and ready for painting in the next two weeks, all in all near on three months in prep to get it to this stage.

Had mine done through obriens that was about 12 months ago though, from memory(bit hazy) think the full front and rear seal kit was around $1200...

edit found the quote included 2nd hand quarter window(broken by the glassy on removal!)

front seal kit including fastener and cover cowl $510 retail $420 trade

full rear seal kit was $540 retail $480 trade

these prices include all the trims etc, seems a waste to go genuine and not replace the lot if the old bits are shabby...imo..

depending on who you are insured with you should have a free windscreen a year... just make a cliam and make sure they arrange for a genuine one... why pay for it if the insurance will give you a freebie without messing your no claim bonus!?!

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
