sid280
Hey all, I got my license back yesterday (after about 6 months) in which time both our cars where sitting doing not much, both cars had a flat battery so i got a new one for the 33 and the z is sitting in the garage- anyway. Driving to work this morning the car stalled on braking towards a speedbump. Engaged Brake, Put auto back into Park and started car again, made this nasty grinding sound like when you miss a gear in a manual and the shifter was stuck in Park - booted the brake and the noise stopped and let me go back into gear then take off again. 1. Why is my car stalling on braking? Under 5000km I had the auto flushed at Nissan... 2. Was that horrible noise just the gears not quiet connecting like they should? latino_90
Did you put the car back into park while the car was still moving? if so thats the reason why its a one off well as long as you don't do it again. Same thing happened to me in my auto 33 3 years ago i was driving along it stalled, so 1st instinct i put it in park to start it again however got that horrible grinding as it was still moving. However it neva stalled on me again. If it does happen perhaps put it in neutral if its still in motion.
