oh another thing, anyone here driven a laurel before and whats people's opinion on them??

My mate has one, has had for about 3 months now! It's white slammed and has 17's i think. Looks hell phat, never been in it so don't know how they go, I asume just like a Cefiro!!!!

anyone here comtemplated getting the bride copies (seats) from just jap. my seat is wearing out on the drivers side and although i dont mind getting a pair would only really require one. in saying this, would like to know if anyone's seats (driver or passenger) is wearing out and thus dont mind going halfs in a pair with me....or not.

only thing that is holding me back from buying them is that you need to modify your original rails to the universal one's. i sure know i cant do it, might have to give pete a buzz. oh that the head clearance of the seat itself. someone here on sau bought and installed a pair in his line, yet to see pics of it though.

1/ too many tyre kickers, one person test drove it to the point in which one of the piping blew off - due to too much boost. not impressed was the least on my mind.

2/ one of my bro's is using it more frequently then before so it serves a purpose now and not just sitting in the shed like it did before

uncomfortable from your perspective is understandable, you take LONG drives indeed.

one guy could not drive the car at all. he said that my clutch was not functioning properly. another guy stalled it at least 7 times!!! and even when he was able to just get the handle of it bunny hopped everytime into 2nd gear. needless to say, i dont need the sil80 to be coping that kind of treatment, as it would be me who would be paying for any cost occured as a result of any parts being stuffed.

 clutch not functioning properly

yep, i would imagine they would have had fun with that clutch

i spoke to the previous owner of the car not long ago, and he said something along the lines of if you launch it in 1st and grab 2nd, more than likely that your gear box will blow. Think it happened to him twice. :P you wont hear this happening with a rb25 gearbox now would you?

    • An update regarding the registration with the DVLA I sent off the paperwork the day after I collected the car from the port, two weeks later it was all returned with a letter explaining they have rejected the application. This was because the cheque was £20 short for the road tax (I used a price list I found online). Nevermind it is what it is, it was sent back to them the following day with a new cheque. Fast forward another 2 weeks or so, I called them for an update to be told it had been rejected. Yesterday (16th September) I received the documents back along with another letter, this time it was because I didn't put an X in one box on the V750 (personalised number plate certificate), which declared that I had the rights to the personalised number plate. Why this wasn't mentioned in the first rejection letter, I don't know, but it could have saved this headache. The documents were sent back today, so fingers crossed third times a charm and it'll FINALLY be registered on the road just in time for the bad weather (woohoo!) To cheer myself up I lowered the front 25mm, was sick of seeing it sit like a monster truck. No idea how much clearance I'll have getting on and off the driveway, I'll worry about that when I can actually drive it
